Chapter - 29: Obsessed with cake.

Kaira's POV:

It was early in the morning when I ring the bell at Khurana residency. A jolly Preeti opened it pulling me inside giggling.

"Sid bro is going to lose his mind when he hears what you planned!"

I was confused "Why would he?"

She giggled once more "What do you think will his reaction be when you tell him to get ready for a date that doesn't include you?"

"Um, agree to me because I have valid reasons?" I asked innocently.

"Are you sure you know my brother?" Her eyes narrowed.

"I do. Just as I know he will listen to me."

She shook her head as we waited in the living room. A moment later mom descended the stairs.

"Mom! I thought you'd be ready by now!" I exclaimed.

"When did you come dear?" She smiles as she reaches us.

"Right now. You didn't answer my question. Why are you ready yet?" I used my respectfully stern voice.

"I don't want to spoil you girls' plans, Sid must be ready to leave in a few mins." She shrugged sitting on the couch with a newspaper.

"Oh yes, he must, but not for office, I've talked with his secretary to free him today. At least today he must enjoy than working."

Mom chuckled "Good luck with that. He has gone on his dad, try getting them out of it. His dad isn't back from his tour by the way, I'm warning you in advance, dear, don't wait up for too long."

I passed a smile "Thanks mom, I'll try anyway. In meanwhile, Preeti, take mom to her room and get her ready in that saree we bought."

Preeti mocked a salute and I made my way up the stairs towards Sidharth's floor. I grinned as I remembered the plans for today.

Happily skipping a few steps I was in front of his room's door, knocking with a big smile.

"Yes? What do you want?" Came his gruff business tone.

Does he think he is in the office? Arrogant much?

I cleared my throat "I just wanted to see if you are up yet."

There was silence on the floor before I heard hurried footsteps and the door flew open.

Grinning at the sound of footsteps I prepared myself to wish "Happy birth— oops." I had to bite my tongue to stop as I took a glance at his figure in the door frame— standing in a towel around his waist.

"Kaira! What are you doing here this early?" His eyes dilated slightly.

"Isn't today your birthday? I came to wish. Well, I would do that after you dress up. I'll just wait—" He didn't let me complete as he grabbed my wrist, pulled me inside and closed the door behind me, pinning me against it.

I gasped internally at the close proximity with an almost naked Sidharth, especially with his face so close to mine and his devious smirk.

"Indeed it is. You can wish me now that you've come up this early just to wish. Will I get a kiss?" He smirked as he places both his palms on the door behind me keeping me hostage in his piercing gaze.

I tightened my hold on the hem of my top as I tried to avoid touching his sculpted to perfection bare torso.

"I can wait. At least 5 mins, until you put on your clothes. Anyway, I have something to tell you." I averted my gaze from his consuming dark brown eyes to my left as I complete.
