Sidharth's POV:
Now I understand why drums are her favourite and trumpets make her close ears.
But the combination of both makes people dance crazier than EVER.
I smile looking at the mob of relatives and friends dancing in front of me, the enjoyment and joy in air was very contagious. We entered the hotel premises a few mins ago, but just like all the way here, we were moving forward at the speed of a snail.
Finally, the band stops playing halting the dancing people. A moment later dad was beside me along with the owner of the horse, maybe it's a mare, that I was riding, helping me get off.
Patting my shoulder, dad leads me through the people moving aside until the door where my family stood with Kaira's. Kaira's mom starts the ritual of inviting me in.
Laughing we made our way inside, her parents at lead. The moment we entered the wedding hall, my eyes scan the magnificent decorations done for tonight. It was a very spacious hall, on one side was the ravishing mandap and the exact opposite side was a makeshift stage with bewitching decorations, while the all the space between was covered by sitting arrangements for the attendees.
We were directly lead to the mandap. The priest was already here, preparing things for the final rituals, many attendees were around us too, sitting, chatting and enjoying.
I'm left with my friends while everyone is off to meet and greet others. Kabir and Karthik were laughing about the things they were discussing, I wasn't listening though, my mind was on my wife to be tonight.
"Where is Abhi? I see his grandmother but not him." Karthik asks suddenly pulling me out of the thoughts of my bride.
Kabir was dialling him and he appeared a few mins later, with a big excited smile as he slaps my shoulder "Hey Captain!"
I chuckled "How is Kaira?"
His smile was real for a blink before he smirks "Oh come on, Sid! It's hardly one day you've not talked to her!"
I roll my eyes as they laughed. We were interrupted by an excited duo.
"Hey handsome! You look so much like a king!" Nikita complimented smirking as she stood in front of me with Samaira.
I instantly straightened up with my head held high "Yes, all I need now is my Queen beside me to rule over my empire."
My friends laughed at the act while the duo was giggling. Samaira winked at me "Don't worry your Queen looks far too elegant for you."
"Ouch! You wound me, m'lady." I mocked but couldn't wipe the grin off my face allowing them another round of laughter before Karthik and Kabir start flirting with them.
Interrupting their banter came my mother telling me that I'm being called by the priest. I smile as she helps me sit on my seat, the one beside me was vacant for my bride.
The priest starts asking me do the rituals, making me chant the shlokas behind him many a times.
I felt a hand on my shoulder when he wasn't asking me to do anything, looking up I see mom smiling down at me "Do you need anything?"
I winked at her "Just Kaira beside me."
Chuckling she let's me be as the priest starts ordering me again. I wonder when would he ask them to call my bride. I didn't had to wait long, soon enough the priest calls for her mom asking for Kaira.
From the corner of my eyes I noticed her exiting the hall with an army of Kaira's brothers. My heartbeat fastens with every second as I eagerly wait for her to show up.
