Third person POV:
Ting tong!
"Sorry wifey." Sidharth makes a puppy dog face at his annoyed wife as she opens the door for him.
"Its 11:00 Sidharth! You said you'll be back by 9!" Kaira mutters gritting her teeth as she moves aside letting him in.
Throwing him a glare she storms up the stairs to their room, not forgetting to carry his laptop bag for him.
4 years and she hasn't forgotten her responsibilities, taking on her everything, she let's herself adjust between professional and married life.
Of course, how can a cycle work with other wheel doing nothing?
Their life wouldn't have taken a beautiful settlement if they wouldn't have kept their promises and vows of marriage.
Sidharth has played his role of responsible husband equally well. If Kaira was the homemaker, Sidharth was the man of the house. Taking responsibilities of their titles, they have made it work and would continue until their next generation takes over.
No, they hadn't planned for a child yet. Just like she wanted to wait for her career to settle well before thinking about a child.
Though the children around them always make her wish if they had one, she would scold her heart to concentrate on her plans. Even if she would lean in her heart's cravings and urge her husband, he would tell her off with all the reasons why they should wait.
Last year, they had a discussion all over again and this time, it bended towards their heart's desires.
Her career started with the internship under her idol, impressed by her dedication and skills he hired her as the assistant manager of the branch 2 years later.
Sidharth had kept forward the deal for supplies of accountants with their firm after a month her internship ended. A lot of persuasion from him as well as her idol later, she agreed to work in her husband's accounting department for 6 months now.
In office, they'd would be professional and if ever Sidharth would cross his line and be romantic she would punish him by not letting him touch her at home. After a few times of the brutal punishment he learned not to trigger her.
Hurrying behind his wife, Sidharth found her clearing the coffee table which had piles of files. With 3 long strides he was right behind her without her notice and snaked his arms around her waist, back hugging her close.
"I'm sorry wifey, the meeting went longer than I suspected." Nuzzling in her neck he whispers against her skin and she couldn't help but shiver from the closeness of her love.
Even after 4 years, when she thought she would get used to him pressed against her, she never really did. The intimacy between them was like the fire that once lit, couldn't be blown away.
"Guess what? We own them now!" He exclaims as he pulled her earlobe with teeth. Chuckling she turns in his arms and leaned forward to give him a kiss of greeting.
Being a teaser herself, she immediately withdraws as she felt him shift, without getting captured in his grip she moved away winking at him.
Narrowing his eyes playfully he makes his way to his bag kept neatly in the closet.
"I have something for you." He announced handing her a paper bag "Try it for me."
She found a black dress in her hand and shrugged, giving him a smile she brushed past him to their closet.
Dress, a western short dress that she wouldn't dare to wear 4 years ago. After their first honeymoon, Sidharth succeeded in pursuing her to wear them, just for him.
