"Kara!" The king's voice called from behind me.

"Yes, Sire?" I asked.

"I have been looking for you all morning" he breathed, running up to me.

"Yeah, sorry, my mum gave me some last minute work to do this morning" I said, sighing.

"Oh, that's fine, I just wanted to make sure you were okay...you know, after last night" he said.

"Yes," I nodded, "how about we just forget that?"

"Consider it forgotten," he said, "so, what are you doing now?"

"Actually, I was going for a walk...care to join me?" I asked, unsure of what he'd say.

"I would love to" he said, smiling at me. He crossed his hands behind his back, standing straights as we walked, making me feel smaller next to him.

"I...um...about your dad," I started, catching his attention, he raised his eyebrow, telling me to go on, "what happened to the knight that...stabbed him?"

"A...well, I'm not sure, my mother did something about him" he said.

"But...you were in control of the kingdom, didn't you know what was going on?" I asked, he made a face, shrugging.

"Not necessarily, my mother was still the queen, I had no authority to ask her about it, not that I was brave enough to do it anyway" he said, chuckling.

"Aren't you at all curious what she did with him?" I asked, he shook his head.

"I never really thought about it" he said.

"Oh" I said, looking out at the roaring fields as we stepped outside.

"But, now that you mention it, it should be something that I know, right?" He asked.

"Well, I suppose" I said.

"We should find out" he said.

"We?" I asked.

"Yes, you and I. I want you to help me find him" he said, stopping to face me.

"I don't know..." I said.

"Please?" He asked, giving me a shy smirk. I sighed, looking around the empty grounds before looking back at him.

"Fine" I sighed.

"Really?" He asked, hopeful, "thank you."

"Do you think he's even alive?" I asked, resuming our walk.

"That is what I want to figure out" he said, trailing behind me.

"What if he is, what are you going to do?" I asked, looking over at him.

"I don't know," he said, pursing his lips, "lets just keep this between us though, alright?" He asked.

"Of course" I smiled.

"Thank you, again" he smiled.

"It's no problem" I mumbled, then I stopped, realising that the king was no longer following me.

"It's as if I was seeing it for the first time..."he mumbled, a sad look on his face as he looked out at the breath taking view that stood in front of his castle.
