The next week went by very fast, Kara settled back into the castle, but Ed still insisted that she sleep in his chambers at night...not that she minded much. The traitor still ran free, no one in the castle even had any idea who it could be...even though it was obvious.

"I'm still confused...one of my closest friends?" The king asked, pacing around his room. "I have a lot of close friends!"

"I feel like you should be talking to the round table about this...not me." Kara said, looking up from the book she was reading.

"Who could it be?" He asked, pinching his bottom lip with his thumb and pointer finger, totally ignoring her statement.

"Make a list of all your friends," Kara said, closing her book to look up at her king.

"I do not have time for making lists," the king sneered.

"Then I do not know what to tell you," she said, reopening her book.

"What else did you over hear before you left?" Ed asked, walking over to her.

"I didn't hear a name, Ed. I'm sorry," she said, sighing.

"I know, I know...this is just...frustrating, I'm sorry." He said, laying his head down on the pillow next her her.

"Maybe you should talk to the knights...I mean, they are your closest friends..." Kara said.

"What?" The king asked, furrowing his eyebrows, "are you suggesting that....the knights could be behind this?"

"No, Ed, I'm just saying that you should ask them about it, everyone in this castle is a possibility." She said.

"Even you?" He asked, biting his lip.

"Yes...even me." She said.

"You are not to be trusted?" He asked.

"I would not trust anyone, if I were you." She said.

"I don't...but you are different," he said, smirking at her.

"Is that a good thing?" She asked.

"Of course," he laughed.

"Sire," Kaolin said, coming into the room.

"Yes, Kaolin?" Ed asked, sitting up to look at him.

"You are needed in the throne room," he said.

"I'll be right there," the king sighed.

"Alright, Sire." Kaolin said, leaving the room again.

"Looks like my services are needed," Ed said, getting out of the bed, "are you alright here?"

"Yes, Ed." Kara said, opening her book.

"I'll be back soon," he said.

"Alright," she said. Ed turned to leave the room, closing the door behind him. He hated leaving her alone now, fearing something would happen.

On his way out, King Edward ran into Kelly, she was on her way to see Kara.

"Kelly," the king said, stopping in front of her.

"Yes, Sire?" Kelly asked.

"Where do you think you are going?" Ed asked.

"To see my daughter," she said.

"I thought she made it very clear that she did not want to see you," Ed said.

"She did, but she is my daughter and I will see her when I want to," Kelly said.
