Things were a mess at the castle, the news of Leon's death, and a traitor was spreading like wildfire, sending the people into a frenzy. On top of that, King Edward was losing his mind over not being able to find Kara. It was an understatement to say that the castle was a mess...it was a catastrophe.

"Sire...no ones said anything about seeing a man, let alone a traitor," Kaolin said.

"How do you know if you're seeing a traitor?" King Edward asked, smirking at Kaolin.

"I do not know, Sire," Kaolin said.

"Then maybe the people have seen him, maybe you or I have seen him...you never know," Ed said, as they walked down the hall.

"I guess not," Kaolin sighed. "I just think we should be worrying about Kara."

"And I am worried about her...she's all I think about, Kaolin." Ed said.

"Then shouldn't we focus on her?" Kaolin asked.

"I am, Kaolin...remember, you are dealing with this traitor now, aren't you?" Ed said, patting his shoulder before walking away.

"Oh, yeah...great," Kaolin whispered under his breath, watching the king walk away. "Sire, wait!"

"Yes, Kaolin?" Ed asked.

"How exactly are you looking for Kara?" Kaolin asked.

"I don't know, I might send a patrol out to the part of the woods that we have not explored yet, why?" The King asked.

"Just asking, Sire." Kaolin said.

"Alright, well...I will speak with you later then," Ed said, turning the corner.

"Of course you will, Sire." Kaolin said, smiling at the king's back.

As the day rolled on, the king sent a patrol out to scour the woods for any signs of where Kara could be.

"Kaolin!" The king called, spotting his friend down the hall.

"Yes, Sire?" Kaolin asked, stopping to face the king.

"Have you gotten anywhere with finding this...traitor?" Ed asked, smiling knowingly at him.

"I know you are doing this to taunt me, it is not nice, Sire." Kaolin said.

"Aww, I'm not nice?" The king asked, giving Kaolin a fake pouty face.

"Not these days," Kaolin said.

"Thank you, Kaolin," the king grumbled.

"It is true, Kara makes you a better person," Kaolin said.

"I'm very well aware of that-why are you suddenly on my case about her?" Ed asked, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.

"Because, I'm worried about her," Kaolin said.

"I am too, but you are not making it any better," King Edward said.

"I'll be nicer, as will you, when Kara gets back here," Kaolin said, smiling at the king, who just scowled at him before walking away. "Good day, Sire!"

"Yeah, whatever!" The king yelled over his shoulder.

Just after dark, the knights came back, they had found nothing. It was just starting to rain, making the air smell damp and sticky.

The king paced around his room, thinking of what to do next...where could he look? He was getting more and more frustrated every time they come back with nothing, it's like she disappeared from the face of this earth.

"Where could she be?" He whispered to himself.

There was a knock on the door, breaking the king from his thoughts.

"Yes?" He called.

"It is Kaolin, Sire," Kaolin said from the other side of the door.

"Come in," the king sighed, pacing around the room.

"So, Sire. I have been thinking," Kaolin started, but stopped when he saw the king pacing around the room. "What's happened?"

"Nothing's happened, that's the problem...it's like Kara just disappeared!" He said.

"Oh, well...I may have some news that you would like," Kaolin said.

"What is that?" The king asked.

"I do not think we have a traitor," Kaolin told him, the king rolled his eyes.

"You have been saying that since Leon died, I do not know why I said you could deal with this...you will get nothing done, because for some damn reason you do not think we have a traitor!" The King rambled on.

"You have not let me finish, Sire." Kaolin sighed.

"Fine. What?" Ed asked.

"I think one of Oliver's men could have snuck in here and killed him," he said, the king raised his eyebrow.

"That could be a possibility, but we still have to take the precautions in case we do have a traitor, Kaolin." The King told him.

"Alright Sire. I will look for people," Kaolin said.

"Thank you, Kaolin," Ed said.

"It is my pleasure, Sire." Kaolin said.

"You should go get some rest, Kaolin...it's late," King Edward said.

"I have work to do, Sire," Kaolin said.

"Worry about it in the morning, get some rest..." Ed said.

"Alright, thank you, Sire. I suggest you do the same," Kaolin said.

"I do not have the time for sleep," Ed chuckled.

"Right," Kaolin laughed, "because kings don't sleep."

"Exactly," Ed said, smiling.

"They aren't nice either," Kaolin said.

"King's do not play nice, Kaolin." Ed said, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Of course not, goodnight Sire," Kaolin said, leaving the room.

"Goodnight, Kaolin," Ed said back.

Ed spent the rest of his night looking over his map of the woods, racking his brain. Where else could she be if she wasn't in that part of the woods?

He had no idea...

Sorry that its short, bad and late. I'm really stressed with school, so if I have a late, or a bad chapter...I blame school. Lol.

I hope you enjoy!!!!
