"Time to wake up" a voice whispered in my ear. I slowly opened my eyes, it was dark, I couldn't see anything.

"What?" I mumbled.

"It's time to get up" the man said, I could hear him moving round the room. I looked over at the open door at the other side of the room. I was desperate get out of here, I was hungry, cold, full of dirt and blood, and I think I'm bleeding myself to death.

"I wasn't even sleeping" I croaked, my voice hoarse from dehydration.

"Well, good then," he said, pulling my face to look at him. "You you have a visitor."

"What?" I asked, worried. He smiled before calling to one of the men outside of the room. Three men walked in, one was squirming around, trying to break out of the others grip. I recognised him right away, it was Sir Leon, one of Ed's knights.

"Leon?" I gasped.

"Kara?" Leon said, recognising me also. "We've been looking everywhere for you."

"How are you here?" I asked, still fighting against my ropes.

"They jumped me in the woods" he said, wrestling against the men's grip. They let his arms go, throwing him into the cell with me, slamming the door closed.

"You have to get out of here" I whispered to him, as soon as the door was closed.

"Not without you" he said, going behind me to untie the ropes around my hands.

"No, Leon...they will kill you...and you have to warn the king about something..." I whispered, quickly.

"Warn him of what, who are these people?" He asked, pausing to speak to me.

"I don't know, they won't tell me...but they are going to kill him" I said.

"King Edward? How are they going to do that?" He asked, chuckling.

"They are using me as a trap, or some kind of leverage" I told him.

"How do I get out?" He asked, looking around the dark room.

"I have been trying to figure that out for days" I sighed.

"Then how do you expect me to get out?" He asked, giving me a confused look.

"I do not know...you just have to," I said, "we can't let him get to Ed."

"You know, there is this rumour going around the castle that you two are...involved" he said, slowly.

"Are you serious? You want to talk about that now?" I asked angrily.

"Right, right, sorry...but is it true?" He asked.

"Just untie me" I nagged.

"Almost got it...wow, these are really tight" he said, pulling at the tough material.

"I know" I mumbled.

"I got it," he said, dropping them on the ground, I brought my wrist up to my chest, hissing in pain. "What did they do to you?"

"Nothing yet, but you have to go, Leon...the kings life depends on it" I said, rubbing my stinging wrists.

"I'm not going to leave without you, Kara" he said, taking my hand, helping me up.

"No, they would just come after us if I came with...it would make things a lot harder" I said.

"Why is that?" He asked.

"Because, they...need me to get to him" I said.

"What makes you think they'll just let me go?" Leon asked.
