"I really must go" I laughed as Ed pulled at my sleeve again.

"No, you must stay" he said, smiling.

"I can't my mum would get suspicious," I whispered, resting my forehead on his, "and besides, you have to earn the all nighter."

"Earn it?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Yes" I laughed.

"That, is a shit excuse," he said, "are you scared?"

"Scared?" I asked.

"Of staying with me?" He asked.

"Of course not" I said.

"Because I will not try anything, I promise" he said.

"I know you won't, I trust you" I told him, taking his hand.

"Then...why can't you stay?" He asked.

"I just shouldn't," I said, "a king should not share a bed with his servant."

He scoffed, "a king should be able to share a bed with whom ever he wants, you are now more than my servant. It is no ones business."

"I-I will see you in the morning, okay?" I asked, running a hand over his chest.

"Fine." He grumbled.

"Goodnight" I whispered, opening the door.

"Night" he said grumpily, I laughed, closing the door behind me.

I silently walked down the dark hallway, regretting telling Ed that he didn't have to walk me back. The castle was quite frightening at night. A shadow went over the moon outside, making my only source of light disappear.

"Damn" I mumbled, thankfully, the cloud that covered the moon moved. I could see where I was going now. I literally ran down the stairs and through the halls, down to my room. I know that it was foolish to do, but it just felt like someone was there with me, following me...watching me.

I walked over to my bed, looking out the window, it was dark, but the moon was making the dewy grass shine, the tree branches looked black as they cast shadows over the green field. Something standing in the corner caught my attention. It looked like a man...in a hood. I gasped, moving away from the window, in case he saw me. He was just standing there, looking through my window. I was considering going back to Ed's chambers, to be honest, I was too scared to leave the room. So I decided to close the curtains and lay down.

I had trouble falling asleep, fearing that man was still out there. I just laid in bed, staring up at the ceiling, every noise I heard startled me. I wondered if he was still out there, getting tired of the suspense, I slowly crept out of bed, walking towards the window. When I pulled the curtains back, the man was gone, the courtyard was empty. I sighed in relief, closing the curtains yet again.

I went and laid back down, hoping to get some sleep. But my mind was running wild, I wanted to know why that guy was out there...who was he?

I groaned, flopping over on my bed, shoving my face in my pillow.

Right as I was about to fall asleep, there was a knock on my window. I shot up, frozen, my eyes widened as I slowly got up, tip-toeing over. I slowly moved the curtain over, peeking out. I came face to face with the man, he had a sick smile on his face as his eyes bore into mine. I gasped, quickly closing the curtains again, I swallowed, turning to rest my back against the wall by the window. I bit my lip as I made my way across the room...he knocked again. I squeezed my eyes shut, feeling them starting to burn with tears. He knocked again, louder this time.
