Help me hold this
Will you please
The world is on my shoulders
I just need a little extra weight
To support me
So I don't come tumbling downPlease anybody
Take some of my burden?
I'll let you hold the stars
You could keep the moon
Anything really
I just need help
Holding up the worldThe oceans are spilling over
Spraying water everywhere
And no one will bring me an umbrella
All the people are sliding off its surface
Falling down down down
But no one comes to throw a ropeIf you grabbed a part
Then this weight would be bearable
But you don't stop
You see no worth in a world
That does nothing but sit
On my shouldersIt's starting to slow
It takes longer to turn
Longer to spin
The sun stopped rising
The moon continued setting
Night and day stuck foreverWhy won't you take
Some of this
It would be so much easier
Hold up the moon
You might see the stars
Sadly, your eyes fix on the groundHelp me hold up the sun
You might see a universe
But you won't look up
After all
Wheres the worth in a world
That does nothing but sitIt stopped spinning long ago
My back is arching
My feet are swollen
Still no one comes
I only need help
Holding up the worldMy steps are slowing
My breathing is paced
The world starts to slip
But no one holds out a net
Down she falls
Smack on the groundShards of the world
Fly over the sky
And through rivers and mountains
Right to the doorsteps
Of the people who turned me down
And wouldn't help me hold up a worldThe shards are only swept up and
Thrown away
No one seems to notice
No one seems to care
My world just broke
And I fell with itBut after all
There is no worth to a world
That did nothing but sit
And none to the girl
Who stood holding it up>>>>>>>>>
Life Update (For Those of You Who Care):
1. Watched a great movie entitled He's Just Not That Into You. Scarlett Johansson *cough cough fake black widow* was in it. To those of you who know my secret identity, it was very insulting. But the movie was wonderful all around.
2. MY FIRST CONCERT WAS THREE DAYS AGO. I can't believe I didn't immediately start with that, but Saturday night, my friend and I went to see The Chainsmokers. We stayed at her moms friends sons apartment all day, went swimming, ate some surprisingly spicy vegetarian hotdogs (she's the one who can't eat meat, not me I love for bacon), and watched Netflix. HE HAD ART FROM COLUMBIA IN HIS APARTMENT. Like he actually had travelled to Columbia and bought a painting from there. Mind was freaking blown. So we stayed there and we literally walked to the concert venue. It was first come first serve and he lived literally a block away. We had pretty good spots. I went on the Ferris wheel in the middle of their performance and I can accurately state that Drew Taggart looks equally, if not more, attractive and smexy up in the air as he does on the ground. But seriously it was one of the best experiences and I will definitely be going to more concerts soon. Praise Chainsmokers their music is sick and their techno was sick. They are sick man.
3. I am going back to my hometown over summer, right when Twenty Øne Piløts is doing their Tour De Columbus. Needless to say my hometown is located in the state of Ohio, exactly two hours drive away from the concert venue spots. Clique members where are you? Does anyone have tickets they don't want (Impossible but maybe there is hope) I want to see my husband live so bad it's an issue. That is all.
How do you make time fly?
Throw a clock out the window
Sincerely,
Don't throw a clock out your window your landlords and parents and neighbors might get mad. Not to mention the window would be pissed.
