Hush now darling
Can you hear it sleeping?
The world has fallen victim
To the night
But you,
You are as awake
As the stars
Look carefully my dear
Can't you see beneath the surface?
This world is fragile
As ice
But don't worry,
It is strong enough to hold you
And all your worries and dreams
This world may be broken and cracked and scratched
But you have barely obtained a dent
So leave all of everything on the ground
And live.
Run barefoot through the grass
Use the playground meant for children
Because life is short and the sun will set soon
Look the people you love in the eye and tell them
You adore them
Hold a gaze with your enemies and let them know
You are stronger
You are stronger than whatever they throw at you
You can take it.
So take it.
Take it and run.
The world is waiting,
For you
