Let's go somewhere
Hop on a plane
Or a jet
And just flyLet's leave everything here
No packing
No prepping
Let's just goUp into the clouds
And far far awayI just want us to be alone
So we can forget about
Life and duties and everyone else
Let's just be usI would like to see the Eiffel Tower
Kiss me at the top
We can eat pastries
And watch the lights of ParisTake me to Italy
So we can gaze upon the art
Hold me steady there
Those brush strokes can be witnessFly me to an island
Where we can just lay in the sun
You and me with the
Ocean and shoreBlue skies
Cloudy days
We can fly kites
And jump in puddlesSunny or
Rainy
We can get ice cream
Or cuddle under a jacketNo packing
We can collect as we go
Let's just hop on a plane
Let's just goThey don't have to know
They will realize soon enough
When we're halfway across the world
Then they can worryDrop everything and come with me
Just us together
Away from everyone who doesn't
Think like we doThey don't understand
Our demons and our monsters
They don't get
Our words and our poemsUp into the clouds
And far far away
That's where I'll be
All alone or will you be there tooTake me to see rolling hills
Crashing oceans
Ruined stone
And lovely peopleI want to run along foreign roads
Taste foreign foods
I want to fall in love
In a foreign placeWith foreign people
So they don't know our demons
Our monsters
Or our wordsLet's go somewhere
A place where
Only you know me
And only I know youLet's go somewhere
Up into the clouds
And far far away
That's where I will beAren't you coming too?
