Please tell me that those aren't yours
Those boxes by the door?
The piles of the clothes on the stairs
Please say that you are only cleaning out the closet
You went on a shopping haul
Did we get a roommate?
Please say something other than those two words
I'm leaving
Those words weren't made for you lips
They were made for people who don't love each other
But you still love me
Right?
Please look at something other than the floor
Lift those galaxies of grey
Make them stare into my galaxies of blue
Look me in the eye
Tell me you are leaving then
Say it while you watch my galaxie inside fall apart
Please stop
Don't run out the door
Don't rush into your car
Stay for just minute
Hold your breath
And wait
So the boxes are yours
Watch me rip them up in fury
Scream those words to me
Watch as the light dies in eyes
Stare at the floor as you tell me you are going
Watch my tears from puddles on the ground
You want to leave?
Watch me fall apart
Watch my world crumble
Then you may go
The image of my broken face in your head
The feeling of my heart breaking in your bones
If you leave
I won't bear the pain alone
You will watch someone suffer
If you leave
You are going to share this pain
You will carry some of my suffering
If you leave
Take the pain
Take the suffering
But don't come back
Even when the pain becomes to much
And you can't hold yourself together
Don't come back
Learn to save yourself
Teach yourself to tape your pieces back together
And while you do it
Know that I have done the same
And I no longer grieve
Leave
But look me in the eyes when you do
Leave
Watch me fall apart
Leave
And take some of the pain
It's high time you had it
