Vanoss's POV
I sat in the library, looking around for my most special dagger. I remember the last place I had it was in the library, and I didn't realise it was gone until now. I huffed as I finished searching every part of the library, not finding it anywhere. Not even a trace. I asked the librarian, but she only said there was never even a weapon found in here.
I sighed, walking up to Y/n's room. I know she hasn't been here recently, but she thinks I don't notice. I'd notice if she left for only five minutes, let alone almost an entire afternoon.
"Y/n? You in there?" I knocked at her door, earning no response. However, I heard a loud 'THUMP' and the rustle of a duffle bag. I waited until the noises died down before knocking again. "Y/n? Hello?" I knocked, hearing a gasp behind the door. "U-uh, yeah! One sec!" She yelled, seemingly fiddling with the strings of a bag. After some time passed, she opened the door carefully. "Oh, hey, Evan." She grinned, red-faced and panting. I frowned, but didn't mention it. She'd tell me if she wanted me to know.
"Hey, Y/n, how about we hang out tomorrow, a full day of just the two of us?" I smiled slightly, hoping for a pleasant answer. She frowned, furrowing her eyebrows. "Sorry, Vanoss, I have plans." She replied, sighing. I frowned, feeling my neck sweat. "Oh.... alright. Tell me if you change your mind." I muttered, walking to the courtyard. I pulled, led out a machete as I swung at a few straw-stuffed bags, letting out all my frustration and anger. What was she doing while the afternoon drifted by? Why couldn't she hang out with me? Was it really this important?!
I continued to slash at the straw bag until it was literally reduced to rags as Delirious stepped outside. He was also panting, strangely enough. I watched as he looked up at the stars.
"Hey, Bro. You seem frustrated, you okay?" He sighed, walking over and slinging an arm over my shoulder. "Y/n doesn't have the time to spend on me, I guess. You know what she's going out in the afternoon all the time to do?" I asked, curious. He shook his head profusely, glancing around nervously. "No, nope not at all.... uh, maybe she's doing something for you? Like, uh, a present that takes a while to get?" He laughed nervously. I sighed. "Yeah, fine. I doubt it, though." I muttered, beginning my trek home. It was already late out, I decided to come back tomorrow.
~~~~~~The next day...~~~~~~
I walked up to her door, knocking softly. "You have time to spend on me, princess?" I smiled hopefully. She didn't reply, hinting that she left early. I frowned, sighing disappointedly.
"Why can't she ever hang out with me anymore? Ever since that stupid marriage arrangement--..." I cut myself off with a heavy breath. I felt my eyes well up with tears. I had grown soft because of her and her adorablness. I wanted to spend my entire life with her, and she's getting married.
I felt my breath hitch as I heard birds flutter away quickly. I turned around defensively, only seeing a small deer foal. It was wobbling around, sticking it's nose in the air. Maybe it's trying to find it's parent?
I held out my hand for it to sniff, hoping for it to trust me afterward. Soon enough, it's snout was nuzzling my hand. I pet it softly, letting it follow me as I ventured through the forest. I found a clearing, where two other foals and their mother looked up at me. The foal that once was following me soon pranced over, nuzzling its mother. I smiled, walking back to the castle. I guess I can just make the best of the day.
Y/n's POV
I panted as I rushed over to the waterfall area, passing a few deer as I ran. I swore I heard someone, but I didn't look back. I saw Blayde running his hand through the crystal clear water as I ran over, almost tripping over a root of a tree. I slowed my pace and panted, chugging some water from the lake.
"You're... Uh, you ready to learn how to use a normal dagger?" He stifled a smirk. I nodded, lapping up water. I wiped my mouth, pulling out Evans dagger. I had even forgotten I had taken it, but I did. There was no doubt about it.
I looked at Blayde, seeing his eyes widen. "That's... uh, that's a nice dagger. I swear I've seen it in someone else's hands before, though." He frowned. "All well, let's get to it!" He grinned, walking over. I'm gonna have fun today, aren't I?
~~~~~~~~~~~
There's a reason this chapter is so short. I want a vote on what type of weapon you guys should use other than that pretty dagger. So, I'm gonna leave three choices each for both melee attacking and..... faraway stuff, and you guys need to choose. You'll need to if you want me to continue writing! Haha!
Here's the three choices for melee:-Two katana's
-A battle axe
-a flaming swordThe last one seems unrealistic, but okay. Now for the other ones that I forgot the name of! The not hand-to-hand combat!
-Shurikens
-a Crossbow
-duel gunsAnd there's one more thing I wanted to do.... cool assassin names? I don't know, something like... a cover name? Like Evans was Vanoss, The Fiery Owl thing. So here's three choices, and if you have better ones, pls comment them becuz I don't know any good ones:
Spud, The Potato God~~ (DON'T CHOOSE THIS ONE I SWEAR TO GOD)
Tears, The Wave of Emotion. (IDK aymore)
Jeffery, Meme Queen.Actually, don't choose any of these. Just recommend me some. Pls. Do it or you can't progress with the story. Pls I beg u
