Chapter 25 - Midnight Mischief

Y/n's POV

I yawned, attempting to stretch my arms. However, two reasons stopped me. One, it hurt like hell, and two, Evan was hugging me like a teddy bear. I grinned, wriggling out of his grip to grab a drink. I saw Delirious in the courtyard, sipping on a hot chocolate. "Hey, you're awake." He grinned mischievously. I sighed, knowing what was coming for me.

"How was your night with Vanoss~?" He teased, earning a blush from me. "... We had a tea party and I got with a guy named E--... Eeeeeeeeethan." I awkwardly laughed. He rolled his eyes. I heard footsteps behind us. "My teddy bear..." Evan whined, sitting beside me and cuddling me. He's such a softie.

"... I ship it." Delirious squealed. "Be quiet. So, anyway, I wanna do something~" I grinned, thinking of a cool idea. "Has it got something to do with M-- uh, the thing?" He asked. "Don't hide it, he found out." I sighed. "And yes, it does." I nodded. Evan stayed clinging to my arm while I described, in detail, what I wanted to do.

"Ready?" I whispered to him. I was in Midnight's outfit, and I was ready to play. "Yeah, let's do it." Evan smiled. You may be wondering about our awesome plan. Evan was gonna go with Mini, Tyler and Delirious to a fake mission, and I was gonna come in and pretend to kill Delirious, and then kiss Evan. It was gonna be HILARIOUS!

I pulled out my dagger and the tomato juice, drenching my dagger in it. I'm glad Evan doesn't know I stole it yet.

I watched Evan run up to the guys, acting as he would. "Hey, we're going over here, right?" Delirious pointed to the woods. "Yeah, that way." Evan calmly stated. I stifled a laugh as I followed them. "Where's Midnight's Child?" Mini asked. "I don't know, hopefully she'll come and--" I cut Delirious off. "And save the day?" I grinned, walking out of the darkness.

I swiftly pulled out my dagger, pretending to stab him sloppily. Mini stared, terrified, as Tyler stood in shock. Evan pretended to be scared and surprised. "Not today, I'm afraid. I'm here for my love~" I creepily giggled. I faced Evan, as he scrambled backwards and into a tree. I pinned him to the trunk and pulled him in for a real kiss.

Delirious, on the ground, silently squealed. Tyler soon began to growl as Evan began kissing back, wrapping his hands around my waist. "Vanoss, get away from her!" Tyler warned, pulling out a cutlass. Evan didn't reply, just moaned into the kiss to taunt him. "Wh-- Delirious was just murdered, and you're gonna make out?!" Tyler yelped. I stifled a laugh as I stuck my tongue in his mouth. Evan blushed, but let me do my thing.

"Yeah, you're just gonna make out while I was just killed?! You're a sad person, Evan!" 'Dead' Delirious laughed. Mini screamed, throwing his bag at Delirious. "You're dead!" Tyler pointed, screaming. I pulled away, laughing until my stomach hurt. "Oh my God, the looks on your faces were priceless!" I cackled, Evan soon joining in. Mini slowly began to smile, then laugh.

"Guys! Really?! You got the assassin to make out with you?!" Tyler yelped. I laughed harder, clutching my stomach. "Yeah I did!" Evan cheered, as I slumped over in tears. Delirious laughed demonically, as we all laughed. "You guys really did this? Come on, I thought we were gonna do something productive!" Mini whined. "Yeah, no." Evan grinned. I tried to breathe calmly, winded from laughing so hard.

"T-- just-- woooow..." Tyler rolled his eyes. "You guys are so immature." Mini protested. "Whatever! Admit it was fucking hilarious!" I giggled. "It was funny. Fine." Tyler struggled with trying to not smile.

"Frankly, you should apologize, Delirious. Vanoss and Midnight were happily making out until you stopped dying!" Mini laughed. I snorted. "We can do that whenever." I sighed. I couldn't deny I missed the touch of his lips, on the other hand.

"Yeah..." Evan smiled, winking. I felt my face flush a deep red. "Wait-- So you know what she looks like?!" Mini gasped, eyes sparkling. Evan chuckled, nodding. "Yes, and might I say, she's quite the looker." He grinned. I smiled kindly, blushing hard. "I mean, what hair, eyes, bone structure..." Mini went on about all the things he wanted from Vanoss. I stifled a laugh as Evan thought of an excuse.

"Here. I'll show you." I smiled sweetly, taking down my hood. They stared at my scarf, unamused. "Oh ha. Take that off, Y/n--- uh, Midnight!" Delirious clawed at my scarf, taking it off to reveal another scarf. He sighed. Evan came over and fiddled with my hair before untying my scarf, revealing myself, the princess. Everyone seemed shocked apart from Evan and Delirious.

"Yep, Y/n." Evan grinned. I smiled nervously. Mini and Tyler both gawked at me, pointing silently with open mouths. I giggled quietly to myself.

"There was no actual mission here, we were just having fun with you guys." Delirious shrugged. "Princess?! I'm so terribly sorry if I behaved rudely toward your existence as an assassin!" Mini winced as I walked over to him. I pat his head gently. "It's fine. I don't mind criticism." I grinned.

"THE ROYAL Y/N PRINCESS?! Oh god! I'm sorry for pulling my cutlass on you!" Tyler yelped. I laughed. I kinda enjoyed seeing them panic so much. "It's fine. I would've done the same to you, if I saw you making out with Vanoss." I smiled. "Anyway, I gotta go talk to my father. You know, a bunch of yelling is gonna happen, possibly my death, so come if you feel free to. I'm not deciding, adding you to, or forcing you. Go home if you wish." I informed them, before walking back to the castle. Just as I was making my way out of the forest, Evan pulled me aside.

"Are you gonna tell him about what I think you're gonna tell him?!" He hissed. I nodded, sighing. "He'll find out soon, and I don't wanna marry someone I don't know." I sighed. Vanoss was about to argue, but stopped himself and nodded silently. "I see." He smirked. He kissed my cheek and walked back to the castle. I heard Mini and Tyler's feet thundering through the forest after us.

This is the sixth chapter I've wrote today. I'm not gonna upload them all in one day, though. Hope you enjoyed!
