I'm scared of the title. I don't even know why. Just that word.... brings bad memories.... I NEEDED MY RISTORANTE PIZZA BUT THEY DIDN'T GIMME ONE AND I'M SOUR

Y/n's POV

I sulked, lying on the floor of Jack's house. "Come on, go outside for some fresh air! You look like 'chu need a few more seconds outside." Jack urged, pulling me onto my feet. "But I don't waaaaannnnaaaaaaa..." I complained as I was shoved outside. "I want 'chu to, and plus, I have t' clean up 'round the place. " He grinned, closing the door on me. "See ya!" He yelled, before making a clattering noise from inside. I sighed, pulling my hood up and beginning to walk. However, I had my battle axe and Shurikens from the castle. So I decided, to take my mind off of things, to do some target practise in the woods.

I found a nice tree stump to rest on, sighing in contempt as a cool breeze swam through my h/c hair. Leaving my hood to rest on my shoulders, I picked up my battle axe and, with Shuriken shawl over my shoulder, began exploring.

I heard a soothing stream nearby, so deciding to stay near it for a while, I searched for it. Finding a crystal clear lake, I sat on the damp grass and listened to the calming rustle of leaves around me, the splashes of clean water sending me into deep thought.

"JESUS." I hissed, kicking every pebble I passed by. I fiddled with my cutlass, tossing it around in my hands. She wasn't in the castle, in the town square, anywhere. I frowned, hearing the wind whistle in my ears. I stepped on dry leaves and followed the sound of the wind, and wherever it lead me. I had time to spare.

I listened to an unfamiliar tune, but I found it to remind me of someone. Someone whistling, they sat by a creek. Twirling their h/c hair loosely through their fingers, she hummed a soft tune. A glowing, happy feel settled amongst the atmosphere, as she smiled and hummed. I tapped my foot softly to the tune until she finished, giggling afterwards. I should apologize to her.

I coughed awkwardly, catching her attention. She looked over to me, and in seeing myself, yelped and almost fell back into the lake. I smiled softly and walked over to sit beside her. "... uh, hey." I began, feeling a little shy. She smiled, her grin quivering.

"Hi. Um... What's happening?" She asked, quietly. "... Nothing much, just... feeling like the world is crashing down on me. How about yourself?" I chuckled. She grinned in return. "Same old, same old. Just... even more burdens!" She made an unrealistic measurement with her arms, almost toppling backwards from trying to stretch so far. I laughed, catching her with me arm and reposturing her, struggling not to pull her into a long, comforting hug.

".... Sorry about... back there." I sighed. She nodded. "I know. So am I. Forgive and forget, ey?" She laughed. I nodded, grinning. Hey, at least I can keep a stable relationship with her.

"So.... about that beach hangout~" I smiled. She giggled. "Fine. Maybe.... uh, how about.... tomorrow afternoon? Just... we can take a leisurely stroll across the sandy beach." She continued to smile brightly.

"Yeah. Uh, anyway, about that poison incident..." I began a new topic. "Oh. Probably Mark and his cooking, nothing too wrong." She explained. "I think he might've put in too much, uh, salt?" She raised an eyebrow in her own confusion. "Must've been a butt load of salt!" I grinned, earning a light, playful shove. "Hey! I don't know, just..." She stuck her tongue out at me.

"Yup, right back at'cha!" I stuck my own tongue her way, struggling not to smile. She huffed, folding her arms.

We continued to chat, until the sky turned a lovely, fiery orange. Pink clouds littered the sky and the lovely, golden orb was just setting behind the mountains. "Well..." I grinned sheepishly, standing up. "Want me to walk you back to the kingdom?" I smiled, offering a hand. She took it, pulling herself up.

"Why of course, sire." She giggled, as we began strolling back to the castle. "How about some dinner after I murder Mark?" She smiled. "Alright, cool. I'll be in the yard." I smiled, continuing to walk.

"Marki!" I called, almost growling. I saw him rush down the stairs. "Greetings, Mistress. Are you feeling okay?" He seemed... off. "Yes, why do you ask? Maybe from trying to POISON ME." I snarled, glaring him down. "Wha....? Me? M-Miss, you think I'd attempt to... POISON... you?" He laughed nervously. "Wh... why would I do that?!" He defensively backed away.

"Because, oh well I don't know, you were trying to KILL ME?!" I yelped. He bowed his head, assumingly in an apology. Well, that's what I thought, before he began to laugh. "Oh, Y/n. And what reason, do you think, I would try that? Use that smart, smart bead of yours, won't you?" He smirked.

I pondered for a while, before finally linking it all. When I was kidnapped... M and C, the asylum...

"Wh-- Mark!... You're a girl? Or was C a boy..." I muttered. His face screwed up at me. "No, imbecile! It's M, but close enough. You killed my master, I must take revenge!" He growled, pulling out a silver, jagged dagger. I pulled out my battle axe, hearing footsteps thunder down the halls.

Evan arrived, just in time, to see me swing my axe at Mark's neck. He dodged swiftly, pulling back and throwing himself at me, using bodyweight to pin me down. He went to stab me, but was kicked off of me by an aggravated Vanoss. "I think my princess is owed an apology." He growled. I felt my face heat up, but shook it off. Probably misheard him, anyway.

"Heh, I think not." Mark grinned sadistically, as a dark smoke appeared around him. He vanished from sight.

Yeah, I didn't know how to end that. All well! Hope you enjoyed!
