WAIT MY WARPED LAGGED AND THIS ISN'T PUBLISHED WTF
I've decided on the following things:Shurikens
Battle Axe
And now for a name... not that I needed it for this chapter, I'll just... make one. I can't decide on the names recommended...On with the story!
Y/n's POV
I was covered in bruises, accidental cuts by myself and sweat. It's hard training with a professional weapon handler! I sighed, lapping up more fresh water like a dog. So I have to be a well-mannered lady if I'm a princess? No, I'm also a secret assassin now. Almost....
I got up, wiping my damp hands on my shirt. "Now what?" I asked, curious. "Well, you've completed the weapon training with each weapon here. Which ones do you choose? Of course, our of the hand-to-hand combat and the faraway attackers." Blayde grinned, pointing to the pile of weapons. I raised an eyebrow. Can I personalize them?
"Whichever ones you choose, we will be able to fix them up to your standards. Just for a royal such as yourself." Blayde laughed. I rushed over, passing some indescribable shiny and sharp objects. What really stood out of me was the heavy battle axe. It had enough weight for me to throw it into someone's stomach and they'll go flying.
I took a satchel full of Shurikens, too, as I've seen the things they can do to a regular person in the war. They're sharp, and deadly. Yet they fly through the air so quickly, you would've never seen them.
I smiled and jumped around giddily, almost dragged down by the battle axe. I guess I'll just have to get used to the weight. Blayde just grinned sheepishly. "You did a good job, princess, but you have one more test. To put you to the test." He smirked. I looked up from my celebratory dance moves and stared into his eyes, confused. I thought I had completed the training...
"You're gonna fight me. If you win, I'll let you go. You've done a good job, but I want to see you put it all together. Can you handle it?" Blayde asked, raising an eyebrow. He picked up a Crossbow and the duel katana's.
"I can try!" I sighed, relieved it wasn't anything too hard. Plus, he wouldn't try to kill me, I'm part of the royal bloodline! The last of it, right now.
He grinned triumphantly, sliding the crossbow into his satchel. I was about to take it off when he stopped me. "In real life situations, you'll probably won't have time to leave a satchel behind." He smiled. I nodded, putting it back on my shoulder. I slid the Shurikens in my larger satchel, and slung the battle axe over, my shoulder.
"Ready..." Blayde called from the trees. I braced myself, as I assumed he'd go in for the first attack. "Set..." I shuffled my feet apart slightly, making sure to be in a powerful, guarded stance. "Go!" He grinned, bounding back into the forest. I was confused, but soon realised I had to catch up to him. I had to at least pin him to the ground for a while, I guess.
I ran after him, leaping over logs and forest animals swiftly. I grinned, seeing him standing wide out in the open. I tackled him, almost dropping my battle axe in the process. Luckily, I pinned him to the soft grass with the heavy weight of it and myself combined.
He grimaced under the harsh weight. I made sure there was no way he could escape my grip, and sat. I didn't think he'd somehow pull out his crossbow and fire at my neck. I dodged just in time, rolling off of him and throwing the heavy axe into his chest. He stumbled back while I pulled out some Shurikens and began rapidly firing them toward him.
He stumbled as he tried to dodge them, but one grazed his cheek. I went for my axe, but he pulled out his crossbow once again and began firing rapidly, also somehow reloading speedily. I somehow managed to dodge, and dived for my battle axe. I swung it at his legs as he leapt over me. He began running through the field. I followed after him, firing Shurikens at his legs. Maybe I could get his ankle and he wouldn't be able to run anymore. However, they only grazed him. I growled, tackling him again and forcing him to the ground, pressing the blade of my axe to Blayde's neck.
"Did I do... good?" I panted. He nodded, out of breath. Yet he still had a smile on his face, a bright one. I got off of him, helping him up after me. He was almost in tears by the time we made it back to his cabin.
"You... okay?" I asked. Did I hurt him? "Yeah... just so... proud! I'm so happy for you...." He whined, wiping his eyes. I laughed. "Yeah, I'll admit that it was fun while it lasted. However, I think I might try and challenge on of my guards sometime. That'll be fun." I grinned, as he opened the door.
"You want me to colour those, or something?" He asked, gesturing to the weapons I was holding. I traced my fingers over the silver blade, holding the almost midnight black axe in my hands. I looked at my dark Shurikens. "No, I like them the way they are." I smiled, that king him and walking back to the castle.
I soon realised I wouldn't be able to hide the weapons from Vanoss if he confronted me. I saw Delirious waiting in the back, luckily, and I asked for him to come with me and distract anyone coming by. He nodded, seeing my battle axe and my satchel of Shurikens. We almost ran into Vanoss, but delirious quickly pulled me into another room as he walked past.
"Thanks, Del." I smiled, shoving everything under a loose floorboard. I'm glad they haven't ever gotten to fixing it.
"No problem, but Evan will end up finding out. This is for him, after all?" He asked. I nodded. "So, how're you gonna tell him?" He smiled. I furrowed my eyebrows. Actually, I never thought about that. How was I going to surprise him with this? "I'm not sure. I just wanna help him, at least." I sighed. Delirious seemed to ponder something for a moment, and his face lit up. "We're taking on a mission tomorrow afternoon! Wanna come in and help? It'll be a breeze for you, but I don't think I'll handle it." He smiled. I felt my eyes widen in excitement.
"PERFECT!"
This will be fun to write. I'll come up with some cliche name for you, don't worry. I hope you enjoyed! :)
If you didn't get the weapons yup asked for, I'm sorry.Word count: 1142 words.
