Y/n's POV

Yawning, I woke up in a warm, muscular (heh) embrace. I smiled, snuggling deeper into Evans grasp. He grunted, tightening his grip.

I decided it would be best to get up and have breakfast, but figured I should stay a little longer. I lay in his arms, a pleasant silence taking over my mind. No thoughts, panic, wonder, nothing.

... Until my bedroom door slammed open.

"Y/n! TIME--" My father cut himself off as Vanoss, becoming startled at my father's loudness, toppled out of the bed. "--.... uh... H-hey, dad...?" I awkwardly laughed, as Evan hid behind the bed.

"What is going on here?" He raised an eyebrow at the two of us. "Uh... W-we were.... cold?" I chuckled nervously. "Of course. You could've grabbed some more blankets. Anyway, apparently someone confronted the two of you last night, and it didn't go too well." He said, unamused. I nodded, helping Vanoss up.

"That's true, but it's resolved now. Can... you go.... now?" I arched an eyebrow, my eye twitching somewhat. "Hmm.... Fine. Do what you will, but don't let me catch you two cuddling in here again." He glared, leaving.

"... So." I tensed up as Evan sat beside me, shirtless. "Y-yeah... um! Hi?" I laughed nervously, my face flushing a deep red. He chuckled, taking a white, bloodstained shirt and putting it on. "You Okay?" He smiled. I nodded, gulping.

"Anyway, you didn't get to tell me what happened last night." He frowned, looking down at his hands. "Wasn't I stabbed? Like, in the chest?" He rested a hand on his chest, breathing steadily. "Feels like nothing even happened." He breathed, kicking at the carpet.

"Uh... well... I-I don't know how to explain it. I... water?" I fiddled with my h/l, h/c hair and sighed. "I'm not sure. I guess we could have someone help, if they know what's going on?" I arched an eyebrow. Suddenly, his eyes lit up. "I know, Mini! He'll help." He grinned, chucking his assassin's gear on loosely. "Right!" I nodded, putting on my dark cloak.

"Let's go!" I was about to run into the hallway until my stomach began to growl, causing me to blush in embarrassment. "M-maybe some food first!" I turned to the kitchen, but Vanoss stopped me. "I think it would be best if we ate there." He said, dragging me on the way to the little cottage.

~~~~~~
"Hey guys! I'm home! For... once." Evan kicked down the door. I flinched at the loud sound. "... that was our door." Tyler sighed, walking out of his room to greet us. "Hey Tyler." I waved. He nodded to me, acknowledging my presence.
"Why're you guys here, aren't you two usually being all lovey dovey or something?" Tyler teased, earning myself to blush. "Oh ha. To get you back at that I'mma raid your food." I smiled sweetly, shoving past him to rummage through the cabinets. "MY FOOD!" Delirious cried, running at md with a saucepan. I, by reflex, kicked the pan out of his hands and pushed him into the table. "... Great reflexes." Evan commented, stepping inside. "Y/n, grab some food, I'mma get Mini." He trotted to a room and kicked down the door, earning a squealed and a few books to be thrown at his face.
"Vanoss! Jeez..." Mini sighed, walking out. Evan rubbed his face, a bruise destined to be left there. "What're you guys here for? Need help with a date or something?" He sarcastically rolled his eyes. I got a few fruits out and scoffed them down, soon moving onto the fresh loaves of bread.
"No, we want yer smrtz." I muttered, mouth full of pastries. "You're hungry today." Mini acknowledged, arching a playful eyebrow. He went and talked to Vanoss while I inhaled the last of their food.
"Okay! I'm done!" I panted, wiping the crumbs from my mouth. Vanoss looked up. "Okay, now tell us. What happened?" Mini asked, rushing over with an ink feather and some paper. I described each moment in detail, even the illogical parts. Once I was finished, the room was left in silence, the only sound being the rustling of paper. "... I think I can help you guys." Mini ran into his room and tossed around a few books, before taking out three. One labelled 'DON'T TOUCH IS MINI'S' and the other two books on.... Elementals?
"These are cool, but... what?" I asked, utterly confused. He flipped to a different page, one on the fire elemental. Reading aloud the words inside, he let us picture everything that could happen with the fire elementals.
"The chosen fire elemental is the most passionate, courageous and determined elemental. They are the heated, more energetic elemental out of the four main and rarer elementals. They... Nothing else useful here." Mini huffed, flipping through more pages. He stopped on the page of the water elemental.
"The water elemental is the calmer, healing elemental. However, they can become chaotic in different circumstances. They are the more mature element, but can still be playful.... Yada Yada Yada." Mini sighed. "That's all in these two books. Now... I have some loose pages of the elementals, rough sketches from the information found by other people. I didn't draw these! I just... yeah." He took the book with the obnoxious label and flipped to a colourful page, with a cool watercolour sketch.
"That's... interesting. Seems childlike, though." I murmured, looking at the unfortunate mistakes and smudges left behind. "Yeah, there's an uncolored sketch here." Mini pulled out a rough drawing of the four elementals.
"This one's a lazy sketch, that's certain
"This one's a lazy sketch, that's certain." I rolled my eyes at the scribble on the page. "But that's kinda useful. You know anything about the mysterious person telling us to defeat them all the time?" Evan asked, confused. "Oh, not that I know of. Maybe I have something lying around, but I'm not sure. Wanna look around my room?" Mini recommended. I nodded, curiosity tugging at my hair.
We searched every corner of the room, and still nothing at all. I kicked at the floor, annoyed. "Sorry guys, don't have anything." Mini apologized, saddened. "It's alright, we'll find something." I grinned, earning a smile in return. I kicked at the floorboards once more before the wood snapped, and the floor underneath was completely hollow. Mini and I fell, Evan, Delirious and Tyler jumping down after us. I saw a quick flash of a dark silhouette before a passed out and hit the ground.
That was a long drop under their house, huh?
And yes, I did draw those. Uh... this might sound selfish, but could you guys... draw... the elementals for me? I'll put them in the book, for sure. If you could do this, it'll make my job easier. Doesn't matter which one, but I recommend the fire or water. Yeah. Hope you guys enjoyed!
