I cringed at Y/n's cry of shock. I knew it was shocking, but I didn't know she would be getting married. For some reason, the thought of her getting married to someone saddened me. I clenched my fists, creasing the cloth of my assassin robes. "Father! I shan't ever marry whomever you want me to marry! Unless it's food..." The last part was muffled, I swear.

"Child, you must. I've made the arrangements. Why do you think I was so saddened by your disappearance?" He spoke calmly, and I realised the mistake he had made. "OH, WELL I DON'T KNOW, BECAUSE I'M YOUR DAUGHTER?!" She yelled frustratedly, tears threatening to spill. "DON'T YOU LOVE ME!? YOUR CHILD?" She cried. His eyes widened.

"Why, of course, dear! I love you so much!" He smiled comfortingly, but she didn't take the bait, and neither did I. I stood aside, watching on to make sure it didn't get too heated. "... You're lying. You're using me to side with the other kingdoms, to climb the ranks." He breathed, glaring into his eyes. He frowned, furrowing his thick brows.

"Leave. This conversation ends." He commanded, glaring back. She, however, didn't give up. Like the fussy girl she is, she snapped. "You down even love your own daughter, do you? You don't love your own young." She spat. This wasn't how I expected this to go.

"Silence!" He boomed, trying to act the almighty person he was made out to be. You still caught numerous signs of weakness, such as his trembling lip, or the low, protective growl in his throat. Y/n was fed up, from what I saw. She turned her nose up in disgust. "You order your daughter around, like anyone of you're servants. Well, guess what? I'm not gonna do your dirty work for ya'." She snarled, tears still trailing down her face.

"I don't know how I could possibly be related to you. Someone who doesn't care for others, only for himself. A lowly leader, being all high up on that throne so people are intimidated from what you could do to them." She went on, her snarl turning into a roar.

"And what's more? You're secretly just a SCARED FUCKING ASS HOLE, FEARING EVERYTHING HAPPENING AROUND YOU! YOU DON'T DESERVE THAT THRONE, OR THE TITLE YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN!" She had riled him up, and there was no going back.

"You listen here, and you listen good, Y/n, because I've had enough of that attitude you've caught!" He growled. "You threw it..." She hissed under her breath, but he still heard. "We need to unite our kingdoms! Then, we can defeat the clan in which is hunting you down right now!" He yelled.

"You're only doing this because they're after you, too." She huffed, stomping away. At least the arguement was over, right? "... That child...." The king grumbled, watching her run out the front doors. I ran after her, knowing my job to look out for her.

So, at this point in time, I went to the eye doctors and they put this eye drops in my eye, because they couldn't see my eye (bc I'm Asian XD) and they made my eye dilate and I couldn't see for a while, so this is my excuse if I made this chapter late. :3 Now, continue!!

I sprinted after her, surprised at how she surpassed my own speed. She was goddamn quick, for someone who stays inside a castle. I followed her through the forest, seeing a small cottage in the distance. It wasn't mine, and it was surrounded by hay bales. Scarecrows stood, tattered and dirty. Y/n stumbled on the gravel path, but slid toward the door. I stood back, watching from afar.

She knocked, and someone with bright green hair opened the door. He stared at her with concerned blue eyes, and hugged her. I narrowed my eyes, seeing a thistle flower vase on a table behind him. There was even a garden full of them around the side. My distrust for the unfamiliar man rose when I noticed the dagger on his belt, and I walked out of the shade of the trees, into the bright, harsh sun.

He looked toward me, and glared. I saw him take out the dagger and release he princess, and stalk toward me. So much for trusting this man, I guess. I stepped forward, seeing the princess's e/c eyes glitter in the sunlight. Her expression faltered in seeing me, and she gripped the green man's shoulder.

"Jack!" She yelled, loudly enough for me to hear. "... Hey." I smirked, waving. He growled, shrugging her hand off. He ran up to me, gripping my collar and shoving me into a thick tree. I winced, but held my guard. "You..." He hissed. I smiled, raising my hands in 'surrender.' "Have we met?" I raised an eyebrow teasingly. "Don't kill him! Dad will kill me!" Y/n cried from behind us. I frowned slightly, but tried to shrug it off. My safety doesn't matter to her, I suppose.

"..." He growled slightly, and let go. I pretended to stumble, and look hurt. Y/n ran passed the annoyed man and knelt beside me, concerned. Not only did that actually hurt form my wounded arm, I wanted to see his face. He had to be part of the Azami clan.

He turned around, pure hatred shown clearly in his actions. The deathly glare, reddened face, and his knuckles turned white from clenching his fists so tightly. He hated me, and we were enemies. Or I happened to accidentally kill his family members, and he wasn't part of the Azami clan.

"I'm fine." I breathed, standing up. I flinched as she dragged her hand up my arm. "You sure? Your arm hasn't healed fully." She replied, lifting my sleeve. I poked her hand away and smoothed down my sleeve, narrowing my eyes at the man. "What's his problem?" I seethed. She frowned. "He doesn't like assassin's." She sighed. "I don't know why, though."

I grinned. "Probably because we're all too cool for him." I held my snarky grin in place as he stomped away, only looking back to flip me off or glare. "He looks to have a thistle flower fetish." I muttered. She sent me a death glare toward me, stronger than any power harnessed in this world. "He's not someone untrustworthy, he just.... is very overprotective." She reasoned.

I didn't believe her.

This is a stupid way to end it, I know. I found out I need glasses, yay for me. Everyone's gonna call me a nerd now. ;-;
