Chapter 25 – Last Chapter

I'll start the day with a meeting... again. Well you see, today is Thursday, kakabalik lang namin ni Louie ng Manila. Actually muntik pa kaming mapasarap sa Laguna at magcancel ng schedule pero pinaalala ni Paula na yung VVIP yung kailangan kong i-meet ngayon kaya no choice kami ni Lou. So yeah, medyo bitin yung out of town trip namin.

This morning will be our first meeting with the partners of Gold Stellar Agency para sa 'The Quest' program/project na plinano ko. Well obviously, yung mga kilala niyong tao lang din naman ang kasama ko ngayon...

Today, in this meeting, we have Angelo as the representative of CGS Records, Aira as the representative of C&G Cosmetics and Clothing, Francesca as the representative of LD and LV Hotel and of course, Louie as the representative of LGM Incorporation.

Since car manufacturing and real estate ang business ni Louie, kinuha kong partner ang LGM Inc. dahil ang matatanggap na interior designer sa project na 'to ay ire-refer ng GSA sa mga partner companies na nabanggit, at isa na dun ang LGM Inc.

Kung naaalala pa ng lahat, top four na hinahanap sa project na 'to ay artists, all-around musicians, fashion designers and interior designers. Pero naghahanap din kami chef, hoteliers, flight attendant and model. Hiwalay na program ang hinanda ko para sa mga dancer-singer na may chance magpromote ng new and improved Philippine music sa Korea and Japan.

"As you all know, the workshop already started. I assume all of you received and already reviewed the schedule of visit at the workshop and how the program will run, also your participation to the project. Our goal is to find the best without eliminating anyone during the time being"

Pinakita ng presenter sakanila ang final proposal plan na hinanda ng lahat para sa project na 'to. Isa ito sa major project na ginawa ng Gold Stellar Agency ever since it started and I'm really looking forward to it.

"The daily tasks and activities are to be given by selected HR reps from all of the partner companies and to be checked by the Head Director of the workshop, Mr. Roberto Paloma. The participants will stay inside the workshop camp for 3 months and by that time, they will be evaluated. The scoring is easy. Completed the task? 100 stars. Completed but not perfected? 95 stars. Failed the task? Still 80 stars. Scores will not be revealed to the participants. And finally, participants who will acquire a total point of 10,000 stars will receive a special prize from Gold Stellar Agency."

That's the end of the presentation we all prepared. Napakasimple lang ng rules sa project na 'to.

"So ibig sabihin, all those ten participants for each field... lahat sila, panalo na agad? Walang talo?" tanong ni Angelo.

"You got it, brother"

Pero mukhang naguguluhan padin si Aira, "Eh anong point ng 'The Quest' na title kung lahat sila mananalo"

Tumayo ako sa swivel chair ko para pumunta sa gitna, sa part kung nasaan ang screen. Every detail ng project, pinagisipan ko ng maigi dahil gusto ko maganda at perfect ang kalalabasan ng project na 'to.

"Well, the thing is... 'The Quest' that we are pertaining here is not the usual best of the best. Understand what I mean? Ibig sabihin, iba yung hinahanap natin sakanila." panimula ko sa pagpapaliwanag.

"Like for example, sa sampung musicians. Oo, all-around ang hinahanap natin pero tandaan natin laging may nagdodominate sa lahat ng bagay. At yun ang hahanapin natin, ano yung nagdodominate sa taong 'yun."

Hinatak ko yung isang bakanteng upuan at tumungkod doon, "Originally, naisip ko na pagsamahin sila bilang isang team lang because my main goal is to explore their talents, also our capacity to engage with them. It's a challenge to both the participants and us, owners of an industry in the Philippines. The quest is not only about the participants but also for the company itself"
