I walk into my science class and I groan as I see Calum and Charlie talking to each other. Calum has an amused look on his face and Charlie looks pissed. I walk over and take my spot, looking at both of them. I knew he was starting some kind of trouble for me.

"Hi, baby." Calum says and it sends shocks through me. It isn't how he would usually say, it casual and soft. His eyes are darker and he has a thick rousing tone to it. He puts his hand on my arm and I scream internally. As much as I liked it, I hoped he would stop. I handled the situation fine on my own.

"Hey." I say and smile involuntarily, a little uncomfortable with the situation. I do not want them talking to each other. God, I do not want them talkin to each other.

"We were just talking about you." He says, leaning over the tabletop, smiling at me. "He thinks I'm an egotistical bastard." Charlie scowls and I just shake my head.

"He is." Charlie says, as if Calum saying it wasn't enough.

"Maybe a little, but who cares?" I say, not looking at either of them. I hear Charlie stomp off and Calum sits beside me.

"You think I'm an egotistical bastard?" He asks.

"Yes, but I also think it is what makes you so great." I say and he smiles. I kiss his cheek and he turns and smiles brightly at Charlie, giving him a thumbs up. "What are you doing? Turn around and look at me. Stop being that way, I already took care of this." I say and smack his arm and he spins to glare at me, turning his body towards mine.

"I'm just doing my job as boyfriend-who-isn't-boyfriend." He says and I chuckle.

"What were you guys talking about?" I question him and he shrugs,

"You, really. that's all." He says.

"What did he say?" I ask and he shakes his head.

"It doesn't matter." He says and kisses my lips quickly.

Calum

"He isn't right, he is just trying to get in your head. I've seen him around with Gorgy. That could have something to do with it." Luke says to me as we walk together. We go through the lunch line and I see Emily sitting at the table, laughing at something Ashton has said to her. She was so amazing, I knew Luke was right, but it was too late. The suspicious thought was already in my head.

"Cmon, girls like her never actually want a guy like you, you're a phase. She is most definitely going places in her life, and you look like you'd be lucky to get a job at Sonic." He says to me and I scoff.

"Like you know shit about me, man, seriously. And like you know anything about her. You couldn't tell me shit about her that I don't already know or wasn't lies."

"Who needs to know anything when you both paint a perfect picture. You'd only drag her down. How could she like an egotistical bastard such as you? She is eventually going to realize it and drop you. Why are you wasting your time with her anyway? She doesn't seem like the girl a guy like you should be around. I bet you're using her, it's what you assholes all do."
