**Ana's POV**
Payton wasn't back yet from talking with Hayes, what happened, should I be worried?
"guys where's Pay?" I asked with worry in my voice.
" turn around ." There she was with a huge grin on her face, she was doing little jumps which meant... good news.
"OMG what happened?! I WANNA HEAR EVERYTHING"
she was talking as she sat down in her chair,
"well me and him are walking to his house later to work on the project for social studies, and... well.. you know.. he gdhsVLFDG" her last few words got jumbled and fumbled.
"he what? Jaz asked
"he hugged her for god sakes." Casey said throwing her hand up in the air.
"WAIT OMG! DOES HE LIKE YOU?" I couldn't help but jump out of my chair,
Payton took me by the arm and pulled me down.
"no- well I don't think so, I kind of maybe like him, but remember what I told myself in 2nd grade?"
"oh yeah, you stated.. (putting her pinky up and doing an English accent) no boy will come between me and my friends, even though he might be not filled with boogers." Sarah bowed as we clapped.
"boogers? really?" I asked putting my eyebrows up.
"dude I was seven give me some cred." we all chuckled.

lunch was finally over, time to survive the next two periods in Hayes' class.
**Hayes POV**
I walked into English class, and sat down next to Payton's best friend Ana. I could tell nothing could come between them.
"Hey, um Ana do you know if Payton might like me the slightest bit?" I just had to know, my arms were shaking, my cheeks felt hot. I.LIKE.PAYTON.
