He walked down the hall, called the turbolift, and stepped in when it arrived. The turbolift stopped on the 20th floor, and a blond-haired woman stepped in.

"Going down?" asked the woman, her face coming into view for the first time.

"Satine!" gasped Obi wan.

Satine. I should have expected to see her here. I saw Maul kill her during the Clone War. Do all my old friends live in this building? Is that why Padme showed me this place? Satine was more than a friend. I would have left the Jedi Order for her. It's been so long...does she still have the feelings I do?

"Obi wan! Oh, you're here!" she threw herself at him, and kissed him full on the lips, answering his last question.

She pulled back and looked him up and down. He did the same to her.

"You grew out your hair," said Obi wan.

Satine pulled her new, long mane into a ponytail, and smiled.

"It's great to see you, Obi wan, are you living here?" asked Satine.

"Yes, I just arrived today," replied Obi wan.

"Who Received you?" asked Satine.

"Bail. Bail Organa. He lives here too," said Obi wan.

"Yes, I've seen him in passing. We've never spoken before," said Satine "Is he nice?"

"Yes, very. He saved my life on a Sith planet," said Obi wan, "a particularly horrible, harsh, and inhospitable Sith planet. ZIGOOLA!" He said the name quietly, and with a shudder.

I try to avoid those memories. Except the ones with Bail.

"Oh. Can I help you get settled upstair? I assume the 50th floor, since the turbolift stopped, and no one is getting in..."

"Oh, of course. Let's go," said a startled Obi wan. He hadn't realized that the turbolift stopped.

They stepped out of the lift, and walked down the hall to apartment 3D. The door had a small plaque on it that said 3D. The door was dark wood with a gold knocker.

Obi wan typed in the code Sara gave him: 3431. The door swung open easily, and revealed the front hall. There were hooks on the wall, and a little bench. The hall led to a small kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, and a guest room.

Satine helped him get groceries, and after a brief tour of the neighborhood, Obi wan  showered and took a nap.

The first week flew by. Before he knew it, he was walking to the Tech Center, where Padme told him he would work.

When he entered the the small, metal building with lots of windows, he went to the receptionist for directions.

"Hello, I'm Obi wan Kenobi. This is my first day, can you give me directions to Special Communications," said Obi wan.

"Sure," said the receptionist, "down the hall, take the turbolift to the top floor, and you can't miss it,"

"Thanks," said Obi wan.

When he reached the top floor, he understood why he couldn't miss it: there was only one door. Obi wan opened the door, and saw the room's only occupant for the first time. It was a man with shoulder length brown hair, a beard, goatee, and brown eyes. He was above average height and very familiar looking.

"Qui gon?!" asked a stunned Obi wan.
