One day, six happy, super fast, months after Obi wan arrived in the Valley, Padme called him.
"Obi wan, I just got notice that, that Anakin is coming to the Valley. I want you to Receive him. I...can't," Padme said in a strained voice.

"Okay, Padme, if you don't want to, I will gladly, but you do know you'll  have to talk to him, at least at some point," said Obi wan.

"I know, Obi wan, but I never thought he would arrive. Bad people go someplace else," Padme reasoned.

Why didn't Qui gon say anything about that? What does she know? He almost asked but he decided now wasn't a good time.

"I know, but this just goes to show he's not Vader anymore. When do I go to the Arrival Gate?" asked Obi wan.

"Tomorrow, at 9:00 A.M. Thank you, Obi wan, bye,"

"Goodbye," said Obi wan.

Obi wan had trouble sleeping that night. He didn't know what he was going to say... When he fell asleep, he had troubled dreams of Anakin on Mustafar, Vader on the Death Star, and lastly, the Anakin he had known before Palpatine's influence.

When he got up the next morning, Obi wan dressed in a clean, white shirt and black pants. He walked to the Registration Center, where a special Air Speeder took him to the Arrival Gate.

There he waited for a half hour, and when he began to worry that Padme had been wrong, a brilliant flash blinded him, and when his vision cleared, there was Anakin lying on the ground.

Obi wan stood stunned for a minute. He looked down at the  brown-haired man lying on the grass in front of him. Anakin Skywalker.
