41-Returned Enemies

"Kenobi!" Maul growled. Guests began to scream and run to the other exits. Obi Wan manuvered Satine behind him. Anakin stepped up to him. Padme was behind him, next to Satine. Obi Wan turned to them.

"Satine, Padme, get out of here. Find Ahsoka, ask her for her help." The two women nodded at their mission and began to usher people out. 

Anakin drew his lightsaber and Obi Wan willed his into existence. He had discovered that the saber would appear when he wanted it. The silver hilt appeared on his belt and he brew the glowing white blade.

Sidious cackled insanely. "Finally, I shall have my revenge!"

Earlier that day...

Sidious took stock of his surroundings. It was just as his other half remembered it: full of pain and suffering for those who had chosen the Dark Side in their lifetimes. He looked to his right and saw his former apprentice, Darth Maul, begin tortured. Strangely enoguh he had a satisfied smile on his face. Why was that? 

"Maul." he hissed out. Maul opened his eyes and looked at Sidious with distaste and hatred. "Back again, are you?" Maul replied.

Sidious nodded. "Why are you smiling? We are trapped here in hell!"

Maul laughed. "Because, I finally got revenge on Kenobi! He is gone, forever!"

Sidious shook his head. "He's not. I know for a fact that he is still in that infernal Light Side nexus! He was communicating with my enemy! Can't you sense him in the Force?"

Maul closed his eyes briefly, extending himself into the scalding Light shortly. When he opened his eyes, he growled, a low, vicious sound. "How?" The word was bitter and so low it was barely audible.

"I am unsure how, but I want revenge on him and Skywalker. They killed me, and you want revenge on Kenobi. Allies again?" Sidious questioned.

Maul hissed but nodded slowly. "For now. This is merely a temporary alignment of interests, understood?"

"Perfectly." Sidious ground out. Together, the two Sith Lords broke through the wall between the two domains.

Anakin and Obi Wan looked at the Sith in temporary shock. "Obi Wan, how is this possible? Didn't we kill Sidious? Um, twice?!" Anakin whispered.

"Yes, we did. I'm not sure how they're here, but it looks like we're going to have to do what we did before." Obi Wan replied just as quietly.

"Obi Wan, no! You were in a coma for ages after you did that! You can't do it again!" Anakin whisper-yelled.

"Anakin, I will do what I must! Are you going to help?" Obi Wan insisted.

Anakin let out a long sigh and nodded. They turend to the Sith and readied for battle.

Obi Wan got into his dueling stance and Anakin held his lightsaber out in front of him at a slight tilt. Maul charged at Obi Wan and Sidious launched volleys of Force lightning at Anakin. Obi Wan was to busy deflecting Maul's ferocious attack to keep track of Anakin. 

Maul swung his blood red saber with a huge amount of power. The force of the blow almost knocked Obi Wan's saber out of his hand. Obi Wan pressed against Maul's saber to stop it from slicing him in half. Obi Wan disengaged is saber and slid away. He didn't get out of the way in time and Maul's lightsaber nicked his arm. He hissed in pain and slid further away. This movement knocked Maul off balance because he was applying pressure to nothing. Obi Wan took advantage of Maul's momentary lack of defense and stabbed him in the back. Maul collapsed and Obi Wan summoned a Force-Blast that disintegrated Maul.

Obi Wan fell to is knees, exhausted. The blast he had used was no where near as powerful as the one he had used in Sidious in the original fight but it still used most of his energy. Obi Wan raised his head and saw Anakin and Sidious trading blows with their lightsabers. He knew that he should get up and help but he was just to tired. His arm throbbed dully but he could barely register it. The world was swimming before his eyes, everything out of focus. Eventually, it all went black.

Anakin saw Maul charge Obi Wan, but Anakin was to busy deflecting Sith lightning to watch what happened. He stepped forward slowly, each step a challenge. He pressed forward, his saber deflecting the lightning but not the power from it. He stumbled from the strength but kept going. Eventually, he was close enough that Sidious had to stop from risk of getting blasted by his own lighting (again!). Sidious pulled his red-bladed lightsaber from his sleeve and began delivering powerful blows. Anakin had to quickly deflect all of them. He stumbled back and Sidious pressed him harder. 

Eventually, running out of options, Anakin lept over Sidious and tried to attack him from behind. Sidious was faster and deflected the blow easily. Sidious laughed cruelly at Anakin's distress, locking his blade with Anakin's.

Anakin pulled his blade away, spun to the side and slashed Sidious's undefended side. Stunned, the Sith stumbled a little. Anakin charged forward only to be blasted onto his back by lightning. Sidious walked forward, his blade raised with one hand, blasting lightning from the other. Anakin tried to move but he was paralyzed from the lightning. His lightsaber rolled out of his limp hand and he prepared himself for the blow. 

Before the red blade could hit Anakin, a white saber intercepted it. Obi Wan had come to help.

Obi Wan deflected the blow that would have hit Anakin. When he had been unconscious, he had heard Force's voice in his head, urging him on. Filled with new strength he battled the Sith Lord. 

Eventually, he knocked Sidious to the ground, disarmed him and out his blade an inch away from the Sith's throat. "Yield!" He demanded. 

"Never!" The Sith said as he tried to hit him with his lightning. Obi Wan deflected and sliced off Sidious's hands. Sidious screamed out in rage and pain. Obi Wan hooked his lightsaber to his belt, pinned Sidious with the Force, and began to concentrate. 

He conjured the most powerful blast he could and directed it into Sidious. He heard a cry from what seemed a long way off as the floor rushed up to meet him...
