"Zero and Onikisu, you two are assigned for food hunting. Sakura and I will be having a date. I'd also like to have a day off. You can also have a date after if you want.." Haru said to Zero and I. 

"Dont wanna~ let the noob there do the work" Zero said lazily while playing a game.

"Hey! You know that I'm still not used to being a ghoul! And I need someone to accompany me!" 

"What are you? A baby? Jeez. Grow up" 

"Bastard! Wanna fight?!" 

"Fine then you're just easy to beat anyway"

"I'm gonna ki--"

"SHUT UP ONIKISU, ZERO! Why are you two always fighting? Look, this is my house, I am the owner so you follow the rules. Okay? Now go and hunt" Haru scolded us. Sakura suddenly appeared hugging Haru. Then they started kissing.

"Sakura, tell Haru that I don't want to hunt with Zero. Please" I whispered to Sakura. Sakura smiled at me sweetly then her face turned scary.

"As much as I want to help you Onikisu-chan, I also want the two of you to be friends. Everyday the two of you are always fighting. I think it's time to settle this. So the two of you will get along. Okay? It'll be fine" 

"But Sakura, Zero is angry at me. And I don't why... and I really do want to be his friend. it's just since that day..." I said sadly. Since that day where we are at the mall, he is treating me like a nuisance. It's really annoying. I didn't do anything to him in the first place

"Well, Zero is always like that. Even I, cannot fathom what he want and what he thinks. Just understand him. He's a really good guy" Sakura said. 

"Come on Sakura. Zero and Onikisu, follow my orders okay? Well then we'll be leaving. Stop fighting okay? Bye!" Haru said. Sakura waved goodbye.

The time they are gone I looked at Zero and saw that he is glaring at me. I glared back.

"Hmph. I'm gonna hunt by myself. No need to have a brat like you along" Zero said grabbing his mask.

"I'll go too. Or else Haru will get angry. Don't worry I won't cause you trouble" I said. Zero looked at me then nodded in response. Psh. 

I grab my hoodie and my mask. My mask is a face of a dragon. A black dragon. So I can somehow remember my father. It is to remind me that I'll survive for him. For my family. Whether I am a human or a ghoul, I will always aim to survive. when I put my hands inside my hoodie, I felt something like a paper. Actually, it's really a paper. I grab it out of my pocket, and when I looked at it, it's a picture. 

A picture of my mom hugging me. There's also another picture and it's a picture of Juuzou and I, with Juuzou's arms around my shoulder holding a donut, and me also holding a donut. A picture of us during his birthday last year. We looked so happy. If only I could turn back time...

"Are you coming or not?" Zero shouted impatiently. I kissed the two pictures then hurriedly put it back in my pocket. Mr. Annoying guy is already annoyed...

"It's so dark in here..." I whispered to Zero.

"This is where criminals often hang out. And they are our prey. Well, they don't really taste good sometimes but that will do. If we ever hunt innocent people, I know that you'll not kill them. I don't really choose who I kill. But since you're with me, I gotta adjust. And don't worry, investigators rarely hunt here" Zero replied.
