Chapter 17: You Monsters!!!

when I woke up the next morning I smiled in bed remembering that I was on break and just laid down enjoying the relaxing atmosphere to the room for a while till I finally got hungry from the scent that was coming from the kitchen and got out of bed. I greeted my pack members as I passed them noticing that today just seemed brighter around the pack for some reason

"morning" I greeted everyone when I got to the kitchen

"morning" they all greeted back everyone waiting at the table while Marcus was cooking at the stove. he was an idiot, but if there was one thing that idiot knew how to do it was cook

"how's my schedule look?" I asked harper sitting down

"your clear with your work since you finished most of it last night" she announced

"finally a free day" I sighed

"you happy?" Ryder asked smiling

"you have no idea, I'm gonna chill the whole day" I said already looking forward to it just before Marcus came giving us our plates

"salmon so perfect you mouth waters just from the scent" he announced while I licked my lips looking at it, but there was something missing

"where's Annabelle?" I asked curious

"she has morning sickness so she's sleeping in" he announced and I nodded in understanding before eating

"god I wish I could cook like this" jay moaned

"so do I" harper announced making him freeze looking at her while I chuckled at his reaction

"it's just a joke j peg calm down" Ryder teased making us laugh at jay's face

"keep laughing, you forget who can drop your grade point average" he glared

"ooooo" we all said in unison and I chuckled before catching a distorted scent

"Ms. harper I-" I heard before looking at the door only to see milo standing at the door staring at us all wide eyed in horror and I followed his line of sight to my plate........ where the salmon was on my fork.....shit

"y-you..." he stuttered looking paler than normal.

"you ok there Easton?" harper asked

"I could make you one if you want one buddy" Marcus offered only making milo look at him in more horror

"do I feed you dog?" he shouted shocking every one before looking a little green

"east-" I started but he was already running out the room to probably to throw up

".... what just happened?" Ryder asked confused

"he uh, he has this thing with fish he hates eating them" I declared

"what was that dog comment then?" Marcus asked

"who knows, I'm just gonna go check on him" I said before getting up and going down the hallway before using the back door only to find milo near some bushes looking like he just finished throwing up

"you know it's not like I don't get it, but was that dog comment really necessary?" I asked and he turned around

"I'm sorry, it...it's just when I saw those fish...." he trailed off looking teary eyed

"didn't you saw that most fish were really dumb anyways" I tried pointing out

"that's only some of them, there's a lot of smart ones out there" he announced
