Chapter 4: Get Schooled Alpha

Iris pov

the next morning after a fun night with Ryder we talked about the next territory during breakfast, while Ryder was my friends with benefits he was also my top spy as in he goes in rouge surveys the next pack were looking to take over and reports back to me. He's a lot more useful than his brother is I can tell you that

after we were done talking we hand a couple more rounds since we were going to have to act normal around the others when we got home, once I got to the pack house I went to the fridge to get something to drink only to see my mom and dad were in there along with a couple other pack members who greeted me on entry while I bowed to them

"Hey guys" I smiled at my parents about to go to the fridge

"Iris can we speak with you for a moment" mom asked me and I turned to her smiling at her tone

"What" I asked

"Come to your office" dad ordered shocking everyone as he got up with mom walking ahead of me and I stood there frozen for a minute before reluctantly heading towards the office closing the door behind me

"What was that" I exclaimed

"We needed to talk" mom said sitting next to my dad who was standing up near the couch his arms crossed over his chest

"Why did you say it like that in front of all the pack members" I exclaimed. I was supposed to have the appurtenance of a powerful alpha, sure I smile a joke with my close friends but everyone else should seem as serious. How can I look like that when I have my parents ordering me around?

"Last night when you said we'll talk later where were you" dad asked confusing me till I remembered my promise. Fuck

"Ok, I get it I mess up but talking to me like that in front of everyone isn't-" I started to protest

"Iris your alpha, but if you've forgotten your our daughter before that tittle" dad announced and I only stared at him not believing he was pulling that card with me

"Sit down" he said nodding to a chair and I reluctantly walked over to it crossing my arms as I fell onto it. Yes I was powerful, by now no doubt a lot more powerful than my father, but there's no way I can openly go against him. Especially since I was the person who made the mistake of forget my promise

"We're worried about you iris" mom announced

"Why" I asked trying not to show my annoyance

"Your mate, you still don't have one" dad pointed out

"If this is what it's about then I'm try-" I started

"Are you really" dad asked

"What's that supposed to me" I asked not liking his tone

"Iris you've gone through wolf after wolf, supernatural after supernatural, I even remember you dating a human boy or two" mom pointed out

"I'm sorry that falling in love isn't an easy thing to do, but you don't have to make it sound like I'm some kind of whore" I growled feeling insulted

"We're not saying that iris. it's just as time moved on I saw the way you were with these boys, you used to at least look a little broken hearted but as time went on you just.....looked like it was something natural for you" mom explained

"Where are you two going with this, is this some stupid blind date idea" I asked not wanting to talk about the subject anymore

"No, we enrolled you in phoenix heritage" dad announced while I went wide eyed
