Chapter 34: Warning Mature Content

As I looked out into the sea of people I couldn't help but feel more nervous. Right now, iris was speaking to the pack behind the huge stand on top of a stage, but I couldn't really pay too much attention since it felt like everyone's eyes were glued on me.

I felt like I was being judged by everyone, some people looked at me curiously while others actually looked mad at me for some reason and it been like this ever since we stepped out from the curtains. Almost every part of me wanted to hide behind them again, but I couldn't do that I promised myself that I would act like a mate worthy of being with iris I was going to be a man......... Or at least do my best at being one

"-so, without further-" iris started and I saw Harper about to step out from the side with the knife till itugged iris hand making her look at me confused

"a-actually I wanted to say some things" I announced

"I told you that you didn't have to" she whispered while there were some murmurs throughout the pack

"I know but I should say something right? a-and I want to talk to our pack" I announced only for her to look surprised before smiling and turning back to the pack

"my mate Easton has something to say" she declared before stepping back and I took a deep breath before stepping up to the microphone and looking out into the sea of werewolf

"h-hi my name is Easton everheart" I waved smiling at the crowd nervously

"hi Easton" some of the kids that I've babysat shouted making me smile before I looked at Taylor who was giggling in his mother's hand building my confidence up a little

"so, some of you may know me, you might have seen me around school or in the pack house these last couple of months, some of you might even hires me to baby sit your kids" I pointed out looking at some familiar faces

"but a lot of you out there don't even know me but I hope to get to know you in the future seeing as now I am to become Luna of the pack alongside iris...... But to get it out of the way now I thought it was important to inform every that i'm not a werewolf nor will I be reveling what I am anytime soon" I admitted before there was some silence and I saw Gwen's confused face

"I know that there will be talk about this, but I just felt like telling everyone now that while my species is to remain a secret I can assure you that I will do my best to make the well-being of the pack my top priority and promise to be a king both worthy to you all and to my mate iris" I promised and there was a small round of applause making me smile before stepping down turning to iris

"that was a great speech" she smiled making me return it before harper came carrying the knife

"alpha, luna" she nodded to us before I felt my heart race as iris picked up the knife before making a cut in her hand that didn't close right back up. The knife was made from silver

"do you take the responsibility of becoming my mate, Luna and king of this pack. Do you swear to stand by my side no matter the course I take and promise to never betray us?" iris asked

"I do" I said not hesitating to hold my hand out before iris made the cut

"i'm sorry" she said softly but I only smile not believing this was already happening

"we are the alpha couple luna king Easton, and alpha queen iris" she declared grabbing my hand letting our blood mix and I felt the shift in power within me before I felt myself tear up

"I love you" I declared before getting up on my toes sealing our love with a kiss surprising iris while I heard some pack members howling making me smile breaking the kiss before turning to the crowd chuckling a little embarrassed
