Chapter 46

"Why are we here?" Milo's dad asked looking at the house curiously

"Is this where you plan to have us stay?" Milo's mother asked making me turn to see the look she was making at the house "it's hardly better than our previous living arrangement" she pointed out making me roll my eyes before ringing the doorbell again

"You two need to stop being so rude, I'm sure the inside is lovely. Thank you, I-" Liliana, started

"I'm not making you sleep here" I groaned slightly annoyed

"Oh... Than what are-"

Suddenly before Liliana could complete her sentence the door was opened reveling an annoyed looking Gwen before she saw who it was and turned to me

"...what the fuck?" she asked confused

"Milo's family feels like I'm letting Milo stay in poor water conditions, so I thought I'd let them see where he spends most of his time when he feels like swimming" I announced, and she stared at me for a moment before sighing

"I was just about to take a shower, but whatever" she said with a groan before opening the door wider to let us in

"It's only gonna take a minute, be happy I didn't take the sisters with me. Dad could barely fit in the van" I pointed out as I lead the three towards the pool

"Refer to me as your father one more time" Milo's dad growled through gritted teeth making me smirk

"Darling, let's be respectful after all this isn't our home. Which is lovely" Milo's mom said as she gave a warm smile towards Gwen

'Two faced bitches' diamond said annoyed making me smile

"I'm not helping you convince Milo to go back home" Gwen deadpanned making Milo's mom smile turn into a small scowl

"B-but it is a lovely home" Liliana declared before her sister in law could say anything

"Here it is" I said as I opened the door to the pool letting the others in to see the beautiful Olympic pool. And while I wasn't really expecting them to gawk over it. I was at least hoping they'd crack a smile but instead Milo's parents only scanned the pool closely almost the same way an old man looks at his lawn after cutting it

"You bring Milo here to swim?" Liliana asked taking in the whole room

"Every three days, he comes here by himself more often now though"

"Yeah an all he does while he's here is talk about you" Gwen pointed out annoyed while I only smiled happily

"I'm sure he must like it, this is a wonderful aquarium" Liliana declared while I couldn't help but chuckle

"It's actually called a pool" I clarified

"Call it whatever you want, it doesn't change what it is" Milo's mother suddenly declared making us turn to her while her and her husband narrowed their eyes at the pool

"...what?" Gwen asked looking annoyed as hell

"A joke" Milo's father said while scoffing at the pool "this pool or whatever you call it might satisfy humans and guppies, but for my son this is hardly enough."

"The water doesn't even look clean, I bet there's hardly any salt in it" Milo's mother pointed out crouching down and moving her hands towards the water to test it, till a shadow suddenly shot out from the water blocking her hand making everyone turn to Gwen who only shrugged her shoulders

"It's just I wouldn't want such royal hands touching my scummy water, it just wouldn't be right" she pointed out before sending a glare towards the both of them "besides I doubt Milo would want you touching the pool anyway" she declared while I couldn't help but smile
