Chapter 37: Just Apologize!

Milo pov

When I woke up I found myself naked in bed but when I tried to move closer to iris I found that I was in bed alone for some reason making me sit up rubbing the sleep from my eyes confused

"Morning" iris greeted me while I yawned before looking up at her to see her fully dressed

"Where are you going?" I asked confused. Today was Saturday, so I thought that if anything iris was going to try and keep me in bed with her all day

"Harper linked me and said that I have a lot of work to make up, you can just stay here and relax today alright" she said walking to her nightstand and grabbing her phone

"Oh, alright"

I thought after that iris would be on her way but instead she leaned over on the bed caressed my cheek and gave me a longing kiss making my heart race surprised "i'll see you later babe, I love you"

I stared at her for a moment shocked before smiling "I love you too" With that iris left the room and I laid back down in our bed sighing to myself

Because of what happened yesterday I was scared iris was going to change and she has but the change hasn't been too bad and...... I'm really happy that we were together. Now that we were mates I didn't have to worry about her leaving me when high school was over, we were going to be together forever now

Suddenly in the middle of my thoughts I started to fell unwell reminding me thats it's been nearly four days since i've been in water, which was good since I was able to stretch out the time frame, but the fact still remained that I needed to get into some water today or else me and iris might not be together for much longer

I sat up before grabbing my phone and calling Gwen "what's up fish?"

"Hi Gwen, you aren't busy today are you?"

"I'm guessing this has to do with my pool, well i'm busy today but i'll be home around 3:30. Do you think you can wait that long scale head?"

"Yes, that should be fine, and i'm sorry for calling so early in the morning"

"No problem, i'm just surprised the wolf let you have a break. I thought you two would be fucking for weeks" Gwen declared making my face burn with embarrassment "anyways I'll see you later fish" she said before hanging up and I groaned laying back down on the bed

I know that iris and I were a couple so there was really no harm or shame in others knowing that we have sex, but when they just blatantly point it out the way they do its embarrassing

Once I was done getting over my embarrassment I got out of bed before getting ready for the day and headed down stairs, it was pretty late in the morning, so I didn't think I was going to find any of the others in the kitchen, but Annabelle was sitting down at the table alone with Taylor in her arms drinking from his bottle

"Morning Annabelle, good morning Taylor"

"Morning luna, how do you like the new treatment?" she asked giving me a look of pity confusing me "the pack members, they were all bowing to you and greeting you as luna the second you walked into the room" she pointed out

"Did they?" I asked turning to the other wolves to see they were already going about their business

She gave me a strange look while readjusting Taylor in her arms "Yeah they did, and you even greeted back..... did you not notice?"

"I guess not, but where's everyone else it's just you and Taylor today?"

"Yup, Marcus is on patrol around the pack house right now so it's another mommy day"
