we ended up staying at Gwen's house for most of the morning and I honestly have to say it was the worst thing ever. it was so hard to be around milo now, I was trying to act the way I usally do but it was hard. did I look at him a lot before, did I like talking to him as much as I do now, did I always have this urge to touch him. I have no idea

Gwen wasn't helping maters at all, every time I lingered my stare at milo she was always there to point it out to me making it harder to ask normal so I thought it was pretty lucky when I got a call from harper saying that my parents were at home and wanted to talk to me only now I was in the car alone with milo...his scent was trapped in here and it was driving me crazy

"um.... iris" he called

"Mmmm?"

"you're not mad at me, are you?" he asked confusing me

"what, no why would I be mad at you?!" I asked trying to figure out where he'd get that idea

"it's just you've been avoiding eye contact with me and you're not saying much to me so I just......." he trailed off looking saddened making me feel bad. I was trying to act normal, but I was just making him think that he was the problem

"no milo you're not the problem. I was....... I was just upset that Jeff took the last slice of pizza" I lied just as we got into the garage and he smiled

"oh, ok" he said believing me making me feel guilty and before I knew it I was petting his hair making the sparks run up my arm

"you're such a kid" I sighed about to force myself to stop till I saw the look on milos face. he was grinning from ear to ear now

"..... you like it when I put you" I asked fighting back the smirk

"Mhm it feels nice" he announced while I petted him a few more times. I could've done it for hours but sooner later I had to stop

'not if we tell him that we're his mate' my wolf pointed out

'not yet' I told her pushing her pack along with my hand

"come on let's go" I said getting out of the car with milo close behind

"you guys are back" Annabelle noticed as we walked in

"where'd you go" Ryder asked looking at the both of us

"just a little party at Gwen's place" I announced

"I thought you said she was in brazil?" Annabelle asked milo while Taylor was trying to get out her arms looking restless

"she came back. you look tired do you want me to watch Taylor?" milo offered

"will you?!" Marcus asked finally snapping out of his daze while Annabelle looked unsure. the life of parenthood looked like it sucked

"yeah, I promise to treat him like a turtle who lost his shell" he announced holding out his arms

"well......the other moms say your good" she considered hesitantly handing Taylor to him only making him more restless till milo raised him to his eyes

"you're a good little boy aren't you, you just want to play" milo said in a cute baby voice actaully getting Taylor to calm down and start giggling

"you really are good with kids" I said looking as he tickled Tylor. if we had pups- no wait too far too soon brings it back

"alpha" harper called and I turned to her

"your parents are waiting for you in your office" she announced
