Robin's P.O.V

I bolted upright in bed, a cold sweat running down my forehead. I gasped in air as if I just resurfaced from almost drowning. I looked wildly around the room as if expecting to see a dead body somewhere.

Whenever I have to sleep out of the manor, I have nightmares of something happening to Bruce because I wasn't there to stop it.

I sighed remembering where I was.

I looked at Artemis, she slept peacefully on her bed.

I flinched when Future Me unexpectedly walked in, staring at his phone. I looked at him.

His eyes were completely uncovered. He wore a skin-tight black t-shirt, a pair of dark blue skinny jeans with a thick black belt, a pair of black combat boots, a black watch, and some kind of gold chain around his neck.

I frowned at him.

He looked up at me with complete disinterest.

"You look stupid," I said bluntly.

"Would you prefer a tube top and short-shorts?"

"No!" I yelped.

"Then, shut up."

I scowled, "When do I turn into the ass you are? Because I need to start warning people when I do."

"Listen kid," he said turning off the phone. "I'm not very excited about today."

"Neither am I," I mumbled pulling my legs up.

"Bruce is alive," he said. "In fact he was who I just got off the phone with. Sure it was a screaming match, but still."

"How'd you know that I-"

He cut me off, "Kid, I may not seem like it, but I'm still you. I even have that stupid dream when it's been a bad night and I finally get to bed, only to be woken up in horror and call Bruce the moment I wake up to make sure he's alive."

I nodded again. "Well, that out of the way," I sighed. "Why aren't you excited about today?"

He didn't respond and walked to the computer.

I frowned at him and got out of the bed. I walked to the computer and glanced at Future Me out of the corner of my eye. He seemed to have a faint smile of amusement as he went through his phone again.

The time in the corner of the computer screen turned to eleven A.M. and he sighed, looking upset, "I'll be back."

"Want company?" I asked.

"No."

"Why?" I asked, following him.

He turned and looked down at me, "Because it's clear we get on each other's nerves."

"I'll be quiet."

He looked at me exasperated, "We both know that's not true, kid."

"Please," I begged. "I'll stay in the trunk of your car if I have to."

"Why do you want to come?" He asked annoyed.

I shrugged, "I can get a look at my new city."

"It's not your city," he growled. "It's my city."

I rolled my eyes, "If it's your city, then technically it's my city."

He stared at me a minute then said, "Would killing you count as murder or suicide?"

"Wouldn't it be suicide, since killing me would be killing you?"

"But you're not me completely," he said. "We are of different mind sets technically."

"Yeah, but if you killed me then you would be killing yourself because I won't be able to grow and become you before you killed me."

He tilted his head nodding in agreement. "So, would you killing me be suicide?" He asked.

"No, if I killed you," I responded. "I wouldn't be killing myself because even if I killed you, I would still have a chance to grow and become you before I kill you."

He nodded. "Fine, kid," he sighed. "If you want to come, fine, but if you start getting on my nerves, I'm pulling over and you're going in the trunk."

I smiled innocently.

He rolled his eyes and walked out a door. I glanced at Artemis feeling bad about possibly leaving her to wake up alone without knowing where we were. I looked at my wrist computer and pulled it up.

NW and I went out, we should be back soon.
- Robin

I pulled the computer off and wrapped it around the saftey bars on the bed.

"Come on, kid!" Future Me shouted from the door. I heard a car horn honk after he shouted.

I scowled rolling my eyes and walked to the door, closing it behind me.

Nightwing was in a black and blue Mercedes.

"Dude..." I said in awe.

"Quit gawking and get your scrawny ass in here before the exhaust kills us!" He shouted over the roaring motor.

I got in the car. Nightwing sped off before I even closed the door.
