Tigress's P.O.V
"Robin, it's late," I sighed parking Nightwing's car in the garage. "Just don't fight and go to bed, you almost broke your neck."
"So? Not like I died."
I rolled my eyes at the teen and opened the door to the computer room. I stepped in and stopped short, my eyes widened when I saw Kaldur and I swung the door closed before Robin and Artemis could come in, I locked the door to be safe.
"Kaldur?"
"Hello Artemis," he said, not looking away from the computer.
"What...what are you doing here?" I asked, failing at sounding calm.
"I came to confront Dick on his resignation," he said simply, standing up and turning around.
I bit my lip, "You did now?"
He nodded.
"And?"
"I did not accept it."
"Oh, thank God!" I breathed.
"He was not thinking clearly, I was not going to accept his mistake."
I nodded, "I completely understand. So...where is Dick?" I looked around, but didn't see my partner.
"He suffered a nervous breakdown," Kaldur sighed. "After comforting him to the best of my ability, I drove him home so he could rest his, clearly, stressed mind."
I nodded. "Sleep, fresh air, calm or no noises, and relaxation," I listed. "Always best uses to calm a stressed mind and recover from a mental breakdown."
"Glad to see changing from a major in law to medical was valuable to you."
"When you work as a vigilante, it's best to know how to remove a bullet," I shrugged.
"And, in the case you took it for, to know how to help a friend in need."
I sighed, "We all knew Dick's trauma reached deep into both his heart and mind...even before we knew about his past."
Kaldur nodded, "And you knew, with the correct education, you could help him, as he does us."
"Dick...needed someone to be there for him...the way Wally was."
"Agreed."
I nodded. "Someone needs to know how to take care of Dick's mind," I said. "If Bruce won't be there for him, then..." I sighed.
Kaldur waited patiently for me to finish.
I sighed, "I can give Dick stitches and wrap his head all I want...but only someone who knows Dick or with proper training can help him, so I will help my little brother, no matter what."
"And, as always," Kaldur said. "Somehow, my respect for you has grown even more."
I smiled, "Thanks."
He nodded.
"So..." I said, unsure of what to say.
"You both know you can come to the Team and I, if you ever require our assistance," he said.
I nodded, "I know."
"Especially if time is of the essence."
I frowned, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"If you ever encounter a problem where time is very important, you may call upon us."
I narrowed my eyes. Something told me he knew about the dorks in the garage, but I wasn't going to let anything slip.
"When we need help, you guys will be the first ones I come to," I said.
He nodded and we fell silent.
Are the younger ones dead?
I heard a soft beep in the dead silence and I looked at Kaldur as he raised his hand to his ear.
"Aqualad," he said.
I watched him silently.
"I shall be there soon, Miss Martian," Kaldur sighed. He ended the call and looked at me, "I am afraid I must go."
I nodded and watched him as he headed for the door.
I jumped, "Wait!"
He stopped and turned to look at me, "Yes?"
"You're not going to tell Batman right?"
"Tell Batman?" He echoed.
"About Dick's paralysis..."
Kaldur sighed, "Dick is the only one who should tell Batman of his accident."
I nodded, "Thanks Kaldur."
He nodded and disappeared out the door.
