Chapter 43

Tigress's P.O.V

"Dick!" I snapped at him. "What the hell! Get that resignation back!"

"Too late," he said bluntly crossing his arms over his chest. "It's sent."

"Well, unsend it!" I yelled jabbing at the keyboard trying to get the email back before anyone on the Team or League could read it.

"I encrypted it," he muttered.

"Give me the code!"

"No."

I glared at him, "Dick Grayson, give me the damn code!"

"Make me," he spat.

I growled and started punching in everything I could think of that he would use for a code, but nothing worked. I punched the keyboard in frustration.

"You're an asshole!" I muttered to him.

"Yeah, I know," he shrugged.

I sighed, "Dick...why?"

"They shouldn't have to worry about me," he mumbled.

"They won't worry."

"Yes, they will, because they know me..." He sighed lowering his head, "...You know me."

"You can get through this Dick...I can help you."

He shook his head, "No you can't...there's nothing you can do."

"I'll find a way to help you adjust. I'll get you through this."

"How...?" He muttered quietly.

I knelt down next to the chair and grabbed his hands, "I don't know...but I will."

"Why?"

"Because I love you," I said grabbing his chin gently and making him look at me. "Because we promised to help eachother."

"Some help I've ever been..."

I sighed, forcing myself not to slap him, "You've helped me, more than I've helped you."

"You've both stopped and saved me from multiple suicide attempts," he said. "Nothing could ever add up to that."

"Wait what?" Artemis questioned.

"Nothing," Dick and I said simultaneously.

"Dick," Artemis said. "You've...you've made suicide attempts...?"

Dick sighed, "Yes...but I'm fine Artemis, I got a great doctor for a roommate."

She nodded faintly, furrowing her brows.

"I'm okay Artemis," Dick sighed. "I haven't done anything in a while."

Artemis nodded again, clearly unsure of what to say.

"Don't worry."

She sighed. Robin wrapped his arms around her. She hugged him with her good arm.

"You better be okay," I heard Artemis mutter in Robin's ear.

Robin nodded, "I'm okay."

I sighed and looked at Dick. He stared at his lap.

"Maybe...we should go on patrol...?" I suggested.

Dick turned to the computer, "Take them and go...I have some stuff to do."

"Are you sure...I can leave Artemis if you-"

"I'd rather be alone," he said cutting me off.

I bit my lip, but nodded. "Come on you two..." I sighed, "Let's go out."

They nodded and followed me to the garage. Robin climbed into the back of the Mercedes and Artemis sat in the passenger's seat.

I looked at Dick, "Are you sure?"

"Yes..."

I sighed and closed the door.

Unfortunately I have to narrow the updates down to just every Wednesday I'm updating faster than I can write Lol. Also I'm at a small block. More chapters are coming I promise I just gotta work up some more.
