Tigress's P.O.V
While riding the elevator to the garage Dick started telling me something, but I completely zoned out. I resurfaced from my trance when the elevator lurched to a stop. The doors opened and I followed Dick out of the elevator.
I kept getting annoyed at how slow Dick was walking because he acted like he couldn't walk and talk at the same time. I decided to stop and let the dork walk ahead but when he did get ahead of me he just turned around and continued talking.
We stood there as he talked. I zoned out again, but made sure it looked like it was interested. I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye, I was about to jump into a fighting stance when I realized it was Tim; that little stinker followed us.
I tilted my head to make it look like I was still listening, but really, I was just watching Tim sneak into the trunk of Dick's ferrari. After Tim closed the trunk Dick waved his hand in my face.
I blinked and looked at him.
"You weren't listening were you?" He asked suspiciously.
I smiled, "Not in the least." He rolled his eyes. "Not like you were telling me how you were thinking about suicide..." I shrugged, "Wait...were you?"
He shook his head, "No...but I won't lie to you...after you were arrested..." he looked away his face filled with shame.
I furrowed my eyebrows. I walked towards him and wrapped him in a tight hug, putting my chin in the crook of his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his forehead on my shoulder.
I rubbed his back when his shoulders shuddered. "It's okay," I said gently. "I'm right here."
"I'm sorry," was his choked response.
I hugged him tighter, "It's okay, I'm not mad." I pulled away and looked at him. He had tears running down his face and I wiped them away, "If you ever need to talk, Little Birdy, I'm always willing to listen...you just gotta tell me it's important."
He chuckled at me, though I was serious. I still smiled at him and kissed his head, "C'mon let's get to the base."
He nodded and we headed to the car. We climbed in and left the building, when we hit the first red light I knew we were going to hit all of them.
I hope Tim isn't dead by the end of the ride...
Since the base is on the other side of the city I knew this was going to take a while. We hit the third light and I sighed in bored frustration and worry for the kid in the trunk, repeatedly bumping my head on the window in annoyance.
Dick chuckled, "Trying to get out?"
"Yeah," I smirked. "But I just realized I need to take out my captor first," I jerked my head towards him faking a headbutt. He laughed and moved with me flinching and faking being hit in the forehead and hitting his head on the window, he jokingly slumped down as if he were unconscious.
The driver in the next car over looked at us like we were maniacs. I gave him a weird face and flipped him off. He rolled his eyes and looked forward again.
I chuckled and looked back as the light changed, "Green."
"Lantern," Dick said sittng up. He hit the gas and thought a second, "Ooh! Red!"
I chuckled, "Tornado. Um...Black."
"Canary!" He laughed. He pouted thinking, "I can't think of anymore color heroes..."
"Red Arrow, Green Arrow..." I pointed out.
"Already used the colors."
"True..." I sat up, sighing in relief when we pulled into the parking lot of the base.
Dick parked the car and we got out. I leaned against the car and Dick walked towards the door.
"By the way," I called to him. He turned to look at me, frowning in confusion. I smirked, "Tim snuck into the trunk back at the garage..."
Dick stared at me in annoyance, "And you didn't stop him?"
"Nope, I watched him."
Dick rolled his eyes and waved his arm dismissively, "I'll get him later."
"Dick!" I shouted.
Dick groaned pulling out his keys and walking to the trunk, "I was only kidding."
I scoffed following him, "No. You're just scared of me like a little bitch."
He rolled his eyes and turned the key. The trunk poped open and Dick lifted the door.
Tim looked up at us faking panic and holding his hands in surrender, "I was kidnapped!"
I laughed and Dick reached into the trunk grabbed Tim and swung him out. Tim's feet landed on the sand and broken pavement. He stumbled and Dick grabbed his arm.
"Sorry," Tim said steadying. "It got really hot in there."
Dick felt his forehead, "You've got a fever you gotta go home."
Tim darted behind me. I laughed.
"Aww, but we found him," I pouted. "Can't we keep him? Please! I'll take real good care of him! Please!"
"I'm not a puppy," Tim said poking his head out from behind me.
I snickered and ruffled his hair. I playfully glared at Dick, "You liar, he doesn't have a fever."
"Fever or not," Dick growled. "He's not staying."
"Yes I am!" Tim laughed. He darted pasted Dick and I, and ran to the door.
"Tim!" Dick yelled running after him, but it was too late. Tim had punched in the code and was more likely in the computer room by then.
I couldn't stop myself from laughing. I pulled out my Glamour Charm, hooked it around my neck, and headed inside.
