Dick's P.O.V
I waited for Arty to grab the chair. When she brought it over, I got in and moved away so she could close the door.
"Do you want me to call you Tigress when at the base still?" I asked.
She shrugged, "Might be easier, so we don't get confused."
I nodded and headed for the base.
Tigress followed and opened the door for me.
"Thanks..."
She nodded and helped me into the building.
Robin was going through the computer and Artemis looked to be working on her aim with the crossbow.
"Hey guys..." I said raising a hand, not really knowing what else to say. I looked at Robin and frowned, he was sitting in the spare wheelchair and I noticed Artemis had Tigress's sword on her back.
They didn't stop what they were doing, but responded simultaneously with, "Hi."
"What are you guys doing?" Tigress asked walking towards the middle of the room.
"Preparing for our future," they said.
"I even borrowed a wheelchair," Robin said backing up in the chair.
Artemis shot a bolt at the practice dummy, just missing the eye target, "I borrowed your sword."
"She's really good at it," Robin said. "She almost cut my head off." He chuckled.
"Well, next time listen when I tell you to shoo."
The two laughed lightly.
I looked at Tigress with concern.
"And..nope," she said. She walked to Robin, grabbed the handles of the wheelchair and tipped him forward out of the chair.
"Hey, I need that," he said, standing up.
"Yeah...no," she pushed the chair with her foot and it rolled away to the other end of the building.
She walked to Artemis and took the sword.
"Hey, that's mine," Artemis reached for the sword.
"Not yet," Tigress said leaning it against the wall. "You guys don't need this stuff yet, it's not important to you until you're mine and Dick's ages.
"We might as well start early..." Artemis muttered crossing her arms, "Seeing that our futures are already destroyed before we even turn thirty."
"Our lives are not destroyed," Tigress sighed.
Artemis nodded, "You're right, my future isn't destroyed...Dick's is though."
"I knew my life would be over sooner or later," Robin shrugged.
I sighed silently watching them, then I looked at my legs. "Just kill me now," I whispered.
"Your life isn't over," Tigress said firmly making eye contact with Robin. "You just hit a hard obstacle, but you have me...and I'm here to help you when you need it."
"What about the others?" Robin asked.
Tigress frowned, "Others?"
"The others," Robin repeated. "Like Tim, Roy, Kaldur, Wally, all them..."
"That depends on if Dick wants their help," Tigress said, obviously ignoring Wally's name.
Robin sighed.
I don't want their help...they shouldn't have to help me...they can't know...
I went to the computer and started typing.
Tigress walked up to me, "What are you doing?" She looked at the screen. "What are you doing...don't hit send!"
Before she could stop me, I uploaded my resignation from the Team.
