Robin's P.O.V

"Oh my god!" I shouted staring at Tigress.

She layed awkwardly, her upper back layed flat on the floor, but her right hip turned up towards the ceiling. Her right leg was kicked out in front of her and her left leg was straight, the toe pointed down.

Her already pale face was turned toward me her opened eyes were drained of all life, and her expression couldn't have been any more blank.

I looked at Dick. He stood like a statue, still pointing the gun where Tigress once stood. His expression serious and stone cold.

I shakily pushed to my feet.

I walked towards Tigress, my eyes stupidly drifting to her chest. Three bloody spots stained her chest, they were in an upside-down triangle the "point" right on her exposed lower sternum.

I felt myself starting to tremble, when a dozen officers poured into the room, weapons held ready. I looked at them, but they all looked at either Tigress' lifeless body or Dick.

"Grayson!" One of the women shouted, "What the hell!?"

"She was about to attack us!" He shouted defensively. "It was her or us! Which would you prefer!?"

She was silent.

"Exactally!" He snapped.

I stared at them, still shocked.

I'm a murderer!

I dropped to my knees next to Tigress. I grabbed her wrist searching for a pulse.

Nothing.

I looked up at the cops.

"Well, we can't let it be known that a captive was killed in the prison by a rookie!" The woman shouted. I obviously wasn't paying attention to the conversation.

"Then let me take her," Dick said calmly.

"What?" She asked in confusion.

My eyes widened more.

"Let me take her," he repeated. "I can take her to Gotham and bury her body in my foster father's family cemetery. No one will have to know. And she can have a burial."

The woman bit her lip looking at Tigress.

I found myself absently pushing Tigress's black hair back off her pale face, making it look neat.

"Fine..." the woman sighed. "I need a body bag."

A new cop came in carrying a black bag. The woman came over, grabbed me, and walked me to Dick.

"You might want to check him for shock," she spat. She turned and helped the other officers carefully put Tigress in the bag and zip it up.

Dick walked to them and threw the closed bag over his shoulder.

"If you let anyone see that, Grayson," the woman gritted through her teeth. "You'll be the next one in a body bag."

"Yes ma'am," he said turning. He snatched my arm and pulled me out of the room. I didn't resist.

I looked at Lauren, who didn't address us as we left.

I followed Dick to the car. He poped the trunk and dropped Tigress into the trunk.

I glared at him. "You already killed her you psychotic jackass! The least you can do is be gentle to her!"

He merely shrugged. He slammed the trunk closed and went to the driver's seat. I opened the passenger side door. I slid the seat forward and sat in the back.

"Don't want to sit up here?"

I slammed the door shut and sat back in the seat. I buckled up and glared out the window.

Once we got on the road I couldn't hold my glare and I felt my chest constrict tightly. I felt sorry for Tigress, she didn't do anything wrong and he didn't have to shoot her.

I felt tears prick my eyes. I wiped them away quickly. Something felt weird, but I couldn't figure out what or why.

All I knew was, for some reason, all I wanted to do was hug Artemis. I wanted to hear her heart beat. I wanted to know she was safe.

Ever since she joined the team, Artemis became one of two big sisters I never knew I wanted. She was badass, but caring and that being said, I wanted to know she was okay. I didn't even know why.

The moment Tigress fell, I wanted to hear Artemis's heart beat; I needed to.

But why...?
