Dick's P.O.V

I drove down the street in a black ferrari with Tigress in the passenger seat as she tried pulling on her new jacket.

"Should I take this off?" Tigress asked grabbing the golden charm around her neck.

"If you want," I glanced at her then looked back at the road. "Personally, I'd like to see my big sister as herself."

She smiled, "Okay, but only for my Little Birdy."

I smirked, I reached over and nudged her head, "You're lucky...I don't let anyone call me that."

"I know," she said grinning. "I'm special."

I snorted and breaked at a red light.

She unhooked the necklace clasp and tucked the Glamour Charm into her pocket.

Since I could see through the Glamour I saw Artemis, but I could feel the difference in her appearance. I smiled, "Good to have my Arty back."

She swatted my shoulder gently.

I chuckled then sighed as I hit the gas, "Thanks for doing the perimeter check."

"No problem," she shrugged. "That's actually one thing I missed while in jail."

I flinched, "I really am sorry about that..."

She scoffed, "Why?"

"You were there because of me..."

"That was my choice," she said. "They needed to arrest someone or else they would think Nightwing was a criminal."

I sighed, "You shouldn't have done it though...Tigress was just, finally, starting to turn her name around."

"I wasn't going to let Nightwing get his name tainted by my asshole of a dad," she muttered. "It was either sacrifice Tigress or destroy Nightwing...and this city needs Nightwing."

"It could do with Tigress..." I grumbled.

"Yeah," she said. "If you want everyone dead."

"You're not like that, kitty," I sighed. "That was just an act...one I never should've made you play."

She smiled, "I was just glad I passed the audition."

I breathed a laugh, but my smile fell quickly, "Wally wasn't a fan of your role..."

Her smile faltered. Instead of falling it became saddened.

I glanced at her when she rested her hand on mine.

"He didn't hate you," she said gently. "He was just being overprotective."

"It still kills me on how things ended..." I said quietly.

She sighed, "It's okay, Dick...he even told me he had planned on talking things out with you that night..."

"I doubt it would've done anything..." I sighed turning into the underground parking garage of my apartment building, "I would've done something to mess it up."

"You know that's not true."

I sighed, "I wish I knew what I was doing..."

"You did know...death, unfortunately, is something us heroes have to live through often."

"If I knew...then why did it happen...?"

"Because Wally sacrificed himself for the ones he loved," she squeezed my hand. "It wasn't your fault."

"Then why do I feel like it is?"

"Because Wally was your best friend and you would've given your life for him."

"I could've done something," I muttered.

"No you couldn't."

"Yes I could..." I grumbled getting a little annoyed.

"What were you suppose to do? Run for him?" She asked with some venom.

"I would've if I could've..." I sighed and parked the car.

Arty sighed and got out of the car. I got out and followed her to the elevator.

We silently rode the elevator to my floor. Arty walked out of the elevator and I trailed close behind.

I sighed when I saw my neighbor Alice walk out of her apartment.

She scowled at Arty and I.

Arty glared at her, but that didn't stop Alice.

"Another innocent girl?" Alice grunted crossing her arms.

Arty growled.

"Don't kitty," I whispered in Arty's ear grabbing her shoulder.

Alice smirked at Arty, "You should leave while you still can."

"No thank you," Arty gritted out. "I'm perfectly fine."

Alice rolled her eyes. She looked at me, "You just have to bring home every woman you meet don't you, you man whore."

"That's it!" Arty snarled. Before I even had a chance to stop it, Arty sucker punched Alice right in the nose. Alice fell to the floor unconscious.

"Artemis!" I snapped.

"She called you a man whore!"

"That's not a reason to deck her!" I said slowly.

She shrugged casually, "It was enough for me." She reached up and cupped my face in her hands. She squished my cheeks together, causing my lips to jut out in a pout. "I don't like people bullying my Little Birdy," she said copying my face.

"I know..." I muttered.

She pinched my cheeks and let me go.

I tugged on a piece of her hair and walked to my apartment. I unlocked the door and looked at her.

Arty used her foot to push Alice out of her way and walked towards me.

"You didn't kill her right?"

She shrugged and looked at Alice.

Alice moaned.

She looked at me and smiled innocently, "She's alive!"
