Dick's P.O.V
I scrubbed my eyes. I had been staring at the computer screen for hours, searching for anything. I groaned in frustration and dropped my head on the keyboard.
Someone touched my shoulder and I flinched.
I sighed, already knowing who it was, "Hey Kaldur."
"Hello again, my friend," he said.
I sat up and looked at him, "What's up?"
"I came to check on you and see how you are doing."
I nodded faintly, "Thanks...I'm okay."
"Have you been training?" He asked.
"Do you even have to ask?" I muttered.
It was obvious I haven't been training like I used to. I'm doing what I can to stay in shape, but it's harder now that I'm limited to certain things. My biceps had shrunk, showing that I wasn't doing my old upper body workouts like the bench press and my gymnastics workouts. My legs I couldn't do anything about and they were clearly losing muscle mass.
"Why have you not been training?" He asked.
"I...can't really do anything," I sighed.
He crossed his arms, "I thought we already established this."
"Kaldur," I sighed. "Workout training and combat training are two different things."
"And combat happens to be 'easier'?" He raised a brow.
I looked at him and sighed lowering my head.
"Why do you think you cannot do your old exercises?" He asked, crossing his arms.
"For one I'll kill myself," I said.
"So?"
I sighed.
"You will not kill yourself, Dick," Kaldur assured.
"Then I can't do much," I muttered. "I can't do pull ups, I can't bench press, I can't even reach the bar on the salmon ladder-"
"Then we will start with those."
I looked at him, "Wait. What?"
He ignored me and walked to my training area. "Which would you like to start with?" He asked. He jumped and grabbed the bar on the third tier of the salmon ladder.
"I can't do any of them, Kaldur, my legs-"
"Are not required," he said as if finishing my sentence.
I fell silent.
He looked at me, "Decide or I will."
I crossed my arms.
He tossed the salmon ladder bar at me.
I caught it, "You're kidding...right?"
"You did not choose, so I chose."
I sighed and rolled over to him and looked up at the ladder. "How exactly do you expect me to get up there?" I smirked and tossed the bar at him.
He caught the bar. He jumped and put it on the first tier. He smirked back at me and I felt suddenly unsettled.
"Don't..." I warned.
He came towards me.
"Don't you dare. Kaldur, I swear!"
He grabbed me around the waist and picked me up.
"Kaldur!"
He carried me to the ladder and lifted me up. "Grab the bar," he said.
