Dick's P.O.V

After Tim and I made it away from Arty and ate breakfast I sat on the couch and waited for Arty to get dressed.

"Hurry it up, kitty!" I called.

"Cool your balls!" She yelled, "The building isn't gonna vanish into oblivion just because we didn't get there at the desired time!"

"Can I come with you guys?" Tim asked as he walked out of the bathroom. His hair was wet and he was in a new set of clothes.

I bit my lip, "Sorry Timmy, but no."

"Why?" He asked, "It's just your base, maybe a clean version of it since you've got Artemis to babysit you."

I jokingly glared at him. He chuckled and sat next to me, he leaned over and rested against me. I put my arm around him, laying it across his chest.

He looked at me and gave me big blue puppy eyes, "Pleeease?"

I grabbed his chin and squeezed his cheeks, making his lips jut out. "Say it with me," I said squishing his cheeks. "Noooo."

He gave me a weird pout.

Arty walked back in, "Ready."

I nodded to her and stood up. "Later Timmy," I said ruffling his short hair.

Arty walked to Tim. She squished his cheeks between her hands and kissed his head, "See ya later, Tiny."

Tim tried the eyes on Arty, "Can I please come with you guys? Pleeease?"

Arty faked giving in. Tim smiled believing he was winning. Then nicely but bluntly Arty said, "No." She patted his cheeks and kissed his nose before straightening up.

He pouted. I thought he was joking until he layed down on the couch crossing his arms. I sighed quietly feeling guilty; I was basically abandoning the kid when I haven't seen him in months and he only wants to come to a stupid building.

Tim watched us as we left, "Bye guys..."

I closed the door. "Great time for him to visit," I muttered. "He just wants to hang out but I can't because of young you and stupid young me."

"I like how you add 'stupid' when referring to yourself," was all Arty said before turning away.

I rolled my eyes. "Keep the door locked," I said through the door to Tim.

"Okay," I heard him call back, sounding glum.

I sighed and followed Arty to the elevator.

"You realize we're more likely going to see him on patrol tonight, right?" Arty asked as the elevator started it's decent.

"If we see him I'm just going to hit him and make it look like an accident."

She raised a brow at me, "Do you mean slapping him or running him over with the car?"

"Now that you mention it..." I said thoughtfully, "Slapping him would be better and less deadly."

She snickered. "Y'know," she said. "I think you've got the elder sibling thing down."

I breathed a laugh, "Doubt it."
