"Are you ready to go?" Y/N heard her boyfriend, Milos, ask from the other side of the door.
"More than ready," She answered, while walking out of the bathroom, making him chuckle slightly.
"You look amazing," He immediately said as she stood right in front of him.
"Thank you," She replied, blushing slightly before they walked out of their hotel room hand in hand.
"It's surprising how you're still blushing every time I compliment you, even though we've been together for more than three years now," He said, which made her roll her eyes.
"Don't worry, love, I think it's absolutely adorable," The tennis player added, finally earning a smile from her after he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her even closer to him.
"Are you nervous about the final tomorrow?" Y/N asked as they were sitting in a taxi, that would take them to the small party that was held before the US Open's final.
"Maybe a bit," Milos stated, making her giggle. "Okay, a lot," He admitted, running a hand through his brownish hair, "but I'm fine as long as you are there to support me."
"Why are you so cute today?" His girlfriend replied, looking into his eyes, while he raised his eyebrows.
"Aren't I always cute?" He questioned, acting as if he was hurt.
"Not really," She answered, giggling again as they got out of the taxi and Milos intertwined their hands.
"Why are you so mean today?" He asked, smirking down at her before they got into the building the party was held in.
Immediately, they were greeted by a lot of people, who wanted to congratulate Milos for his great performance in the semifinals.
After shaking hands with a lot of other tennis players, Milos was finally able to get something to drink with his girlfriend, but their peace was soon disturbed as a pressman came up to them.
"Can I have a short interview with you, Milos?" He asked, quickly gesturing for his cameramen to come over.
"Of course," The Canadian answered before standing up and placing a quick kiss on Y/N's lips.
"I'll be back," He said, walking a few steps towards the interviewer, so his girlfriend could still see him and hear everything he said.
"How do you feel about the final tomorrow?" The interviewer started, turning around to look directly at Milos.
"I'm very excited about it, actually," He stated, smiling shyly, "It will definitely be a tough match against a great opponent, but I will try everything to win."
"That's for sure," The pressman agreed, smiling up at Milos, "I'm sure there will be a lot of people to cheer you on tomorrow; how much does the support of your family and friends means to you?"
"It's incredibly important," The tennis player replied, glancing at Y/N, "It's even more special this time since my girlfriend can be here, too."
"I'm sure she is very proud of you," The interviewer answered, nodding slightly.
"I hope I can make her even more proud tomorrow," Milos stated, nervously scratching the back of his neck as the man opposite to him stretched out his hand.
"I'm sure you will. Thank you for this interview, Milos," The pressman said, shaking his hand.
"No problem," The Canadian replied before turning around and walking back to Y/N.
"Why were you so nervous?" She questioned, making her boyfriend sigh slightly.
"I don't want to disappoint you," He mumbled as she took his hands.
"You won't, Milos," She replied, leaning in to kiss him. "I love you way too much to ever be disappointed."
