Interview ~ Dominic Thiem

"You don't need to be so nervous," Y/N's cameraman said, chuckling slightly before placing a hand on her shoulder to keep her from pacing around.

"I'm sorry," She replied, but continued to repeatedly run a hand through her hair nevertheless, "I'm just afraid that I'll do or say something wrong."

"I know that this is your first time as an interviewer here at the French Open, but I'm sure you'll do absolutely great," He assured her, causing a small smile to appear on her lips.

"Thank you," She mumbled, taking a last look at the papers in her hand, while taking a deep breath.

"He's coming," The cameraman stated after a moment of silence before gesturing to a very handsome man that was walking straight towards them, Dominic Thiem.

Y/N straightened her clothes again, trying her best to stop acting so nervously.

"Hello, I'm Dominic," The tennis player stated as he finally stood in front of her.

"I'm Y/N; it's great that you found the time for a small interview," She replied, stretching out her hand to shake his.

The two just stared into each other eyes for some time, until they were pulled back into reality by the cameraman, "Alright, are you two ready?"

"Sure," Y/N answered, signalling for him to start recording.

"So, I'm here literally in front of the Roland Garros stadium right now with nobody else, but Austria's number 1 tennis player; Dominic Thiem," She started the interview, trying her best to stay calm.

"How do you feel today, Dominic?"

"Oh, I'm a bit exhausted after the match yesterday, but other than that, I feel great; I love to be here in France."

"And how do you feel about tomorrow's semifinal against the 9 times French open champion, Rafael Nadal?"

"I'm very excited; it will be a very tight game against Rafa for sure, but I'll do my best to win."

"Well, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Dominic. Good luck for tomorrow," Y/N ended the interview and smiled up at the Austrian tennis player.

"No problem," Dominic replied, taking a bottle of water after the cameraman switched off the camera.

"Was that your first interview here?" He questioned, intensely looking at Y/N, which made her slightly nervous.

"Yes, it was," She answered, taking a seat on a nearby bench, "I'm sorry if I did anything wrong."

"You didn't; you actually did a very great job," Dominic replied, running a hand through his dark hair before sitting down next to her.

"Really? Thank you," She said, her smile widening.

"It was for sure my favorite interview ever here," He stated, while she raised her eyebrows, "Probably because I like you."

Y/N started to blush as she heard his words, but before she could reply, Dominic spoke again.

"You know, I've had a pretty amazing week so far, but it would be even better if you went out with me," He said, smiling cheekily down at her.

She was absolutely surprised by what he said, but in a very good way.

"Well, I'll go out with you if you win the semifinal," She answered, suddenly starting to feel absolutely comfortable around the Austrian tennis player.

"I'll do my best," Dominic replied, his eyes lightening up at the thought of playing in the semifinal of the French Open and taking Y/N out afterwards.

She chuckled slightly after placing a soft kiss on his cheek.

"Good luck," She mumbled before starting to walk away, leaving Dominic absolutely amazed by her outstanding beauty and her even more amazing personality.
