Y/N slowly opened her eyes, not being able to ignore the constant ringing of her phone anymore. Without looking at the display, she accepted the call.
"Hello," She mumbled tiredly, trying her best not to shout at the person for waking her up in the middle of the night before she had to play the semifinal in the next morning.
"Y/N," She heard someone whisper and her heart picked up it's speed as she realized who it was.
"Taylor?" She asked, nervously starting to run a hand through her hair.
"Yes, it's me. I'm sorry for waking you up, but I've been wanting to call again you for some weeks and I couldn't stop myself from doing it right now," He explained and Y/N heard the nervousness in his voice.
"It's alright," She replied, suddenly not feeling tired at all anymore, "but why do you call?"
"I've missed you, Y/N, very, very much," He breathed out, making her eyes go wide.
Immediately, the memories of their last conversation floated into her mind, a few tears forming in her eyes.
"Maybe we should just end it here," Y/N said quietly, looking anywhere, but at Taylor who was sitting right next to her.
"No, Y/N, I love you," He replied, softly placing a hand on her cheek, which made her turn around to look at him.
"I love you, too, Taylor, but I don't think this works anymore," She stated, her heart sinking as she saw the hurt in his eyes.
"We're not saying goodbye forever; I'm sure that we'll meet again," She added, slowly standing up.
"I love you," Taylor said one last time, but she was already too far away to hear him.
"Y/N?" She heard his voice calling out, pulling her out of her thoughts and back into the reality.
"I'm sorry for what I said," She mumbled, surprising even herself, "I shouldn't have given up on us."
"It's okay, Y/N, I know that it was hard. I know that our relationship needed a little break at that time," He stated, smiling a little, "but I've thought about everything a lot and I definitely can't be without you anymore. I miss you so much."
More and more tears ran down Y/N's cheek as she closely listed to his words. "I miss you, too," She finally admitted.
"Really?" Taylor questioned, his smile widening slightly, until he heard her sobs. "Please don't cry," He mumbled before taking a deep breath.
"I just regret it all so much," She stated, making his eyes go wide.
"You do?" He asked, hope filling his voice.
"Yes, I do," Y/N replied, sighing deeply.
"Then come and open your door," Taylor stated, which made Y/N sit up slowly before making her way to the door.
"Why should I...," She started, but she was too shocked to continue as she opened the hotel room's door and saw Taylor standing in front of her.
"Taylor," She mumbled in shock as he leaned forward, wrapping his arms around her, "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to get you back," He stated as they were walking into the room.
"You still love me?" Y/N asked, looking down at the ground, but he took her hand, making her look up and lock eyes with him.
"Yes, of course I do, I never stopped," The tennis player answered, softly placing his other hand on her cheek.
"Even though I left you without any further explication?" She asked, looking up into his eyes.
"It is alright, Y/N, let's forget about that," He whispered before leaning down and softly placing his lips on top of hers.
Without any hesitation, Y/N kissed back, immediately wrapping her arms around him.
"Let's make new memories together."
