Chapter 18 - Hot-Head

Tomoki's POV (Yet another day goes by)

The class bell ringing filled my ears, signaling the end of the school day until tomorrow. I finished what I was writing down before I started to put things away into my bag, making sure that I had everything before closing it up. I was about to get up from my seat when the twins appeared on either side of me, their hands symmetrically placed onto my desk. I raised my eyebrows at them, confused

"What do you two want?" I asked them, wanting to get out of class so I could go to the garden to study

"We heard-" Kaoru, who was on my right, started

"-There is going to be a musical recital in a week's time." Hikaru finished, smirking at me devilishly

"And, what does that have anything to do with me?" I asked them, glancing down at my Violin Case which held my Violin and Bow, and a hidden Baton, knowing these two I would get ticked off by them

"Are you going to participate?" They asked me in unison, snapping their fingers and pointing at me dramatically. I rolled my eyes groaning to myself

"No."

"Aw why not? Too chicken to?" Hikaru teased me having me glare at him

"Yeah why not Tomoki? It's not like you have stage fright or anything, you openly played in front of us yesterday." Kaoru pointed out to me calmly, having me roll my eyes again

"I would rather not, if it doesn't specifically help me later in life, I shall not do it, are we clear shady twins?" I asked them, getting up and swinging my bag over my shoulder with my hand on my hip with my Violin Case

"Nope." They answered smugly having growl at them

"I brought my baton with me so I could whoop your smug asses." I stated, threateningly having them both freeze, eyes wide

"Now if you would excuse me Kaoru, I need to go to study." I lightly shoved Kaoru out of my way, having him lean on the empty desk behind him. Before I could even get two steps away from them, they just had to say something else!

"Wait, you can tell us apart?" I stopped walking turning around side ways, staring at them curiously

"Yeah, can't everyone?" I asked them, tilting my head slightly

"Um, well no." Kaoru told me, only managing to get that poor sentence out

"Only Haruhi is able to, but she is basically the mad scientist." I glanced at where Haruhi was still sitting, and noticed an irk mark formed on her forehead at what Hikaru called her

"Humph, this world isn't full of googly-eyed high school girls you know, There are even smart ones. Besides, I can't tell by your actions and your voices, Hikaru's is more of a deeper kind of voice that holds mischievousness laced in, and Kaoru has more of a slender voice, laced with more of a level-head." I stated, pointing at the two, a smirk gracing my features. Before they could say anything else, I turned on my heel and walked out of the classroom.

Kaoru's POV

We were speechless, our eyes trained on the empty doorway where Tomoki exited from. I couldn't believe it, she was able to tell us apart? Only Haruhi was able to do that, no one else. I looked over at Hikaru to see him gritting his teeth, his fists clutched tightly at his sides

"Why are we even helping her?" Hikaru asked himself, seeming to be irritated

"Because no one deserves to be married off to a royal brat named Alphonse Tonnere, besides, this is Tamaki-Senpai's Little Sister. And he asked us to help with the situation." Haruhi stated, getting up from her seat and placing a hand on Hikaru's shoulder

"I don't get why you're so upset."

"Because, she is able to tell us apart even when she is not even able to care for others!" Hikaru yelled, storming out of the room (A/N And here is when Hikaru's Hot-Headiness comes into play). I sighed, rubbing my face

"Sorry about that, Haruhi. I will go talk to him." I apologized to her

"No, it's fine, I know how he can be. But I tell you this, behind all of Tomoki's Ice, there is a warmth filled heart, it's just been shut down for so many years it's going to take more than just a blow torch to get rid of all of it's layers of ice encasing it." Haruhi told me, and began to walk out, me following after her. Little by little, for some odd reason, I feel as if I'm the one who is going to melt away all of her ice to get to the warmth of her heart.

Tomoki's POV

I checked the time to see it was nearing the end of the club's activities having me mumble a 'yes' to myself. They spend two hours in that dusty old Music Room, just to entertain guests, time consuming if you ask me. I was about to walk out of the garden to get Tamaki so we could get back to the mansion when I heard a few girls whispering to each other. Me being me, I listened in

"Have you heard there is going to be a new student coming in from France next week?" I stiffened, next week? Has time passed by so much that I didn't even realize it?!

"Oh yeah! What was his name again? Cornelius Tone?"

"No you idiot! Alphonse Tonnere, I hear that he is such a looker! Oh, maybe he will join the Host Club?!" I rolled my eyes, like hell that would happen in a thousand years

"He probably will if Tamaki lets him! Apparently from rumors I heard from around school, Tamaki has had a run in with Alphonse's older sister!" I stopped listening in, already knowing of this information, but I couldn't help but worry about the time when I would have to meet him face to face.

I know this chapter seemed a little boring but I really wanted to update and I know that you guys wanted me to take my time but argh! I couldn't resist updating! Plus, it gives more character development which I love, is it bad that I just want to jump through my screen and become one of the characters in my book, preferably Tomoki? Nah, this is what happens when you have nothing else to do XD. Anyways, Hikaru's Hotness- I mean, *Coughs* Hot-Headiness came through for this chapter, also Kaoru is starting to feel sort of some feelings for Tomoki which is great by the way, but will add drama later on in the story.
