53: A Lizard Discovery

"Is this the brother you always mention in your sleep?"

To Ingrid's sudden query, Lea jolted. "What are you talking about?" She thought.

"I suppose no one notices because you don't say it aloud, but when your are unconscious, your mind gets consumed by one particular person alone. But I cannot see any images, only a hazy feeling you were thinking of someone in particular or something, until of course I heard you thought 'brother' every once in a while~ ~

"So, is this handsome man your brother you were referring~?"

"You are becoming rather playful..." Ignoring Ingrid's query, Lea proceeded to walk side by side with Liam who still seemed shock at her appearance. She was starting to find it funny. Glancing to her side, she could see his magenta eyes darting from the path in front of them to her little body from time to time.

An involuntary snort escaped Lea, which earned her a queer gaze from Liam. "........" His brow raised, he looked rather confused.

Waving her hand in the air to dispense her unconscious actions, she focused her attention to what was in front of them once again. With Liam's help, the journey to Chlad  had been smoother. She was getting more accustomed to her ever growing body and she had even learnt to fight midair by utilizing the saved up essences she managed to absorb in Escarcha.

They've been travelling north-west, heading towards Mingzhe Dei's Northern Cape.

"So... Uh... Lea?" His voice hesitant, he called on to Lea to which she responded with a glance. "How did you become so small?"

A soft chuckle involuntary escaped her lips, but covered her mouth just in time. "I was reborn. I'm currently in the process of unconscious growing, so watch out for me." Was all she said before turning around to walk ahead.

"...How da the heck do I watch out over someone who kills beasts like nothing......?
"And hey!! I'm not your damn babysitter!!! Go die, kid."

At his last word, Lea performed a back flip to execute an elegant kick to Liam's head. He did not expect such a small body could do such skillful movements that he was momentarily stunned, but by the time he recovered in a mere second, his face was a goner.

Lea's foot was light, and she did not apply any essence to her attack, thus, Liam only had his face turned slightly to the side. However, he was still surprised. "Kid--"

With his foot stamped, Lea glared her ruby eyes on Liam. "Don't call me a kid. It's Lea!"

"Fine fine. Lea the kid. List----"

Another side kick flew towards Liam's face that he couldn't catch. He noticed the force was slightly greater than before. With a frown, he stared at Lea. "....Ki---"

They were standing at a closer range to which Lea was able to kick his gut, just above his stomach. This made him gasp for air. "Da H3LL?!" Was all he could express after another kick flew towards his eye.

"It's Lea." She puffed.

Silence took over their surroundings with Liam helplessly covering the kicked eye. ".............."

Despite Lea being smaller than before, Liam still felt he was helpless against her. With a resigned sigh, he opened his mouth once again. "Lea." Satisfied by his call, Lea relaxed her arms that were about to perform another of her moves. "So what are you?"

"I am now human!" She said quite proudly.

This made Liam even more confused, but shrugged the many questions that immediately appeared in his mind. He felt the more he asked, the more questions would arise. "Arrrg..." Now he felt even more the impossibility of ever defeating Lea in this lifetime.
