Mitch's POV
I sat down on her side of the bed. I put my hand on her side and gave her a kiss.
"Hmm?" She gave me a sleepy smile.
"Nothing," I say "Go back to sleep." I ran my fingers through her long, silky brown hair and gave her a kiss.
"Ok." She said shaking her head 'Yes' and turning over.
I stood up and walked to the computer. Duke came trotting in.
"Come 'ere Duke." I said patting my legs.
He runs towards me. I grab his favorite toy, a rope, and start to play tug-o-war. I write on a piece of paper:
Dear Lilac,
I'm taking Duke out for a walk. We'll be down by the dog park. Maybe find Duke a girlfriend. Haha, just kidding. If you want to meet us there when you wake up, feel free to, we enjoy your company.

I set the paper on her night stand near her glasses. I pick up Duke's leash, hook it onto him and pull him down stairs. I grab a quick bite to eat. While I eat I let Duke eat his food. After I eat my toast I made I pull on Duke's leash and say:
"Come on Duke!"
He looks up. I start to walk out the door. He trots after me. We get onto the sidewalk were I run into a little girl.
"Hi!" I say.
"Hello." She whispers.
"What's wrong?" Her head was hung low, the I noticed a flyer that was in her hand.
"Nothing," She looked up, a frown on her face.
"Did you loose your dog?" I asked.
"Yeah," she said softly. "Here's a flyer. Please look for him."
"I will. What's your name?" I ask.
"Marie," she shrugs.
She walks over to the next house. Duke and I go on our way and go to the dog park.
--Skip to Dog Park--
I'm now at a jogging pace. Duke, as always, trotting beside me. When we reach the dog park I let Duke of his leash. He goes around, making new friends. I take a seat on a bench to cool down. I close my eyes for a little when I feel a head rest on my shoulder, I open them.
"Hey baby." I said rubbing Lilac's head.
"Your messing up my hair." She said fixing it.
"Sorry." I said putting my arm around her.
"It's ok." She says. She has her hand on her belly.
"You ok?" I ask.
"Yeah, just the baby." She sighs.
"I still don't understand why you aren't happy," I sigh. "I mean we'll be starting a family."
"I know, I just don't want a kid this early."
"It'll be ok." I said giving her a kiss.
She lays her head in my shoulder once again, I put my head on hers. We sit and watch Duke play with all the other puppies.
