Mitch's POV

Lilac is in my arms, crying her eyes out.

"Shhh. It'll be ok." I rub her back.

"I gave Jenny the idea." She stuttered. "Early this morning we were talking about the baby and how we felt too young to have kids and-" Her voice broke off. "I asked Adam if he thought this little girl was his,"

"What did he say?"

"He said he didn't think so. But there is still a possible chance she's his." She buries her head in my chest.

"I know. Everything will be ok, I promise." I kiss the top of her head.

We lean back so we are laying down. Lilac's head is on my chest. I twist her long, soft hair.

"I love you." She said.

"I love you too." I ran my fingers through her hair.

Before I knew it, we were both passed out.

--Morning--

"Ow!" There was a yelp and a thud.

"Lilac!" I jump out of bed and over Lilac's side of the bed.

"My ankle hurts so bad." Tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Shhhh, it'll be ok. I'll take you to the hospital. Let me get dressed. I'll be right back."

I grabbed some clothes and threw them on. I ran to Jenny and Jerome's room and knocked on the door.

"IM TAKING LILAV TO THE HOSPITAL. I THINK SHE BROKE HER ANKLE!"

I ran back into our room and picked Lilac up bridal style.

"Owwwww." She whined.

I carried her to the car and set her in the front seat, it was hard, but I did it. We drove off to the hospital.

--30 minutes later--

I carry Lilac into the hospital.

"Hello." The lady at the front desk said.

"This is my wife Lilac. She fell off a balcony of our stair case trying to save her best friend and she's pregnant. I think she broke her ankle but I want to know if the baby is hurt." I said very quickly.

"Oh... Well, I will get a wheel chair so you don't have to carry her. But first I need her full name."

"Lilac Samantha Hughes." I said.

"Ok, I will be right back."

--In the hospital room--

I help Lilac into bed. The doctor comes in.

"Hello. I am Dr.James. Lilac here is pregnant and she fell off a stair case, correct?"

"Trying to save her best friend, yes."

"Ok well the baby may be hurt but we will have to do an ultra-sound to see. What did she land on?"

"Carpet."

"Ok, at least it wasn't wood or tile."

We stayed at the hospital for several hours. The baby somehow wasn't hurt. The doc said it was because she landed on her feet, sorta, and it was on carpet. Her ankle was broken so I have to carry her up the stairs and pretty much all around the house. Her ankle will take a few months to heal.

-- Back at home--

I picked Lilac up and out of the car and carried her inside.

"I'm tired. Carry me to our room." She whined.

"I wouldn't be surprised." I laughed.

I carried her up the stairs and into our room. I laid her down on the bed. She moved into a more comfortable postion.

"I'll go and get you some food. I bet your starving."

I ran downstairs to get Lilac some breakfast.
