Lilac's POV

I woke up and realized the past few days Jenny hadn't been getting any sleep. I sat up on the bed and fixed my socks. I stood up and opened the door. The smell of bacon frying filled the house. I ran downstairs and slid into the kitchen.

"Someone seems hungry." Jenny laughed.

"Hey, when I smell bacon, I run."

"Foooooooood!" Lily said smacking her hight-chair tray.

"Yes! Lilac will get you food!" Jenny said.

"Can you get Lily the peas and meat from the cupboard?" Jenny asked me.

"Yeah!"

I spun around and slid over to the cupboard and grabbed a small jar of baby food. I opened the jar and poured the food into a bowl. I grabbed a baby spoon out of the drawer.

"See, you got this down pat!" Jenny said excitedly.

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes.

I took Lily's food over to her and set it on her tray.

"Do I have to feed it to her?"

"Yeah, I don't want her getting messy."

"Fine." I sighed.

I fed Lily her food. It surprisingly smelled really good.

"Here." Jenny said setting a plate of food down on the table. It had bacon and eggs between two pieces of toast.

"You remembered." I laughed.

"Yeah! Of course I would, we are best friends, how could I forget!?"

"I don't know." I say, taking a bite of food, then another and another and another, soon enough, it's gone.

"Some one was hungry!" Jenny laughed.

"Yeah, I guess I was." I said, taking my plate to the sink.

"Let's go upstairs so Lily can play and I can teach you how to change a diaper.

Jenny took Lily out of her hight-chair and the three of us when upstairs.

I sat down on the floor next to Jenny, who was playing with Lily.

"It's a miracle she lived." I sighed.

"Who?!" Jenny asked confused.

"The baby." I said rubbing my belly.

"Oh. Oh! Lilac! I know what you could name her!" Jenny squealed.

"What?!"

"Miracle! It's perfect!" Jenny exclaimed.

"No. I mean, I like it, it's just too, common. I want a name that means miracle, that would make more sense." I shrug.

Jenny pulls out her phone. She types something in and a few minutes later she says;

"Lilac!! Amari!! It means miracle! This is what it says; 'Amari: (American) With a great sound, this ultra hip name is perfect for your little girl. Mary and Marie are dated, but Amari is taking us into the 21st century.' "

"Oh. My. God. It sounds, so cute!" I squeal.

"Her nickname could be Mari or Mar! Oh my gosh! Her and Lily would be so cute!"

"YASSS!" I scream. " I have to go tell Mitch!!"

I get up and run into my room. I pull out my phone from the charger and tell Mitch that I've found the perfect name for the baby, Amari.
