2. a man of science

The assassin's quarters emitted an eerie feel. The replica of the 1718 alt laboratory resonated a deafening kind of silence. The kind that even demons fear. 

SE702 lay lifeless on the metal gurney that was situated in the middle of the laboratory. Several electric wires were latched unto him. An entire block of computer monitors regulated the specimens' vital statistics. 

After escaping alt-world with Saber, SE702 lost a fragment of his entity, a piece of his identity. SE702, known as Alpha in the Land of the Assassins, lost his twin brother, Beta whilst they were on the brink of fleeing alt-world. Beta's core exploded when they got outside the void,the magnetic field was so intense that it blew his core to smithereens. 

Saber forgot about how much magnetic field he can repel; it was only enough for two cores, for him and Alpha; Beta was a shot in the dark, a thin string of chance. 

The mad scientists never allowed the twins to go outside the alt-world since their cores cannot withstand the pressure, and they were still in the process of creating the perfect energy that would counter the magnetic force field. But because of the twin's intense passion to evade evil, they set off on an adventure that cost one of them, their life.

Alpha is being rehabilitated in a makeshift replica of the 1718 laboratory, the place where he, his twin and Saber was originally created by the mad scientists from the alt-world; the replica of the lab was assembled by his fellow assassins, with the help of some local scientists. His core was being reduced and matched with the frequency of the outside world. And he is almost ready to taste freedom that cost him his twin.

In three days, he will be an official assassin, a soul that will protect the righteous and will slay those with vile intentions. He was made for destruction but he will betray his nature. He will be a soldier of light. 

Natalia, their elder assassin, along with Saber, Hayabusa, Yun Zhao--these heroes held the Land of the Assassins together and with Alpha as an addition to their crew, their quest for the Land of Dawn will not be as far-fetched as it used to be.

But despite from being made out from the hands of man, where feel and emotions are nonexistent, too impossible for Alpha, for his entity, his being; he was capable of feeling one thing, love. In the depths of his metallic heart, rigged with wires and grease and volts, he knew that it would endlessly beat for a soul that he would get to meet soon.

"Sometimes, I think about... girls." his lovely mind  once whispered.
