"What the hell dude. Stop purring! You sound like a cat!" Balmond shouted, slapping his sleeping brother on the cheek.
Minotaur could do nothing but sigh, massage his swollen cheek and keep his mouth close. He was such a noisy sleeper and Balmond hated him for it. He was a large man after all, he was meant to make noise, well at least he can, where his brother isn't around.
He turned his back away from Balmond and positioned his body straight. He shifted against the colossal leaf that he was lying on so that he could find a comfortable spot and yet, while was doing so, he aacidentally hit his brother with his vuluptuous, thick mane.
"Dude! Are you planning to feed me your hair? Scoot off!" Balmond once again shouted, both emitting a furious yet a groggy tone. It was night time already and the two brothers, the red gigantic duo stopped over a giant oak tree to rest for the night.
Although Minotaur is bigger than his brother Balmond, the younger beast was the superior one, at least he thought so himself.
He often ordered his elder brother around even for trivial things, like asking Minotaur to fetch him water from the river so that he could wash his hair. Or even command his brother to speak to the Bloodaxe King while the descendant himself--Balmond, was fast asleep. It was Balmond's duty to report to the king before the day ends but nevertheless, he sends his older sibling to do the job for him.
It was quite an unbelievable system of relationship but Minotaur loves his brother dearly that he'd allow himself to be ordered around like a pauper.
His brother was the closest thing he has for a family. His real family died during the red famine that swept his land when he was young. He met Balmond back in Orcana when he was serving the Bloodaxe king.
He ended up in Orcana because it was the safest place he could access judging from where he was and what he went through. The Bloodaxe king, Balmond's father, accepted Minotaur with all arms.
In exchange for his stay in Orcana, he was bound to stick by the kingdom's side and its descendants. He was destined to accompany Balmond for the rest of his life.
He had no qualms about it. He was thankful for what he had.
Balmond always talked to him with such a snarky tone, almost seeming that his foster-brother was disgusted of him.
He knew none of Balmond's thoughts but he respected him with all of his being, or at least what's left of it. He lost half of his being when his family died.
And now, seeing Balmond treat him like a slave was the closest thing he has to bonding with a family member, or at least a quasi family member.
Minotaur didn't notice that as he was reminiscing his past, the happenings that led him to where he is, Balmond has fallen asleep whilst leaning onto the large oak tree.
His ill-tempered brother distanced himself so that he would not be disturbed by Minotaur's luscious locks. Minotaur could only smile in bittersweet joy.
"Stop staring at me, you colossal faggot." Balmond suddenly chimed, catching him off guard.
Minotaur turned his back from his brother, bent his knees to reach the ground and laid his body to rest.
He was treated like trash by the only man he has for a brother but he was still happy and complacent.
Tomorrow would be a big day for the both of them since Balmond would be crowned as Orcana's new king.
They were sent to the wilderness by the soon to be dethroned king since it was Orcana's tradition to send out the vying king out the night before his coronation so that he could view the outside world as a commoner for the last time.
"I can't believe you'd be crowned as king tomorrow. Orcana will be scared shi-tless, it would start running away from you." Minotaur whispered to himself, giggling as he played in his mind the events that are to transpire the next day.
Balmond heard what his brother said. He knew Minotaur was only mocking him.
He treats Mino bluntly and harshly but he is thankful for his presence ever since he came to be.
And he knew, from that moment on, they'd forever be at each other's side--mocking, bickering, throwing shady remarks but through it all-- they have each other's fist to hold on to when times get rough.

So, yeah! I updated despite my busy schedule and if I say busy, I mean busy. Like I have exams on Tue, Wed and Thurs next week. Hooray for me!
I hope this update will neutralize the romance of the precious chapters since this is more like familial relations and stuff.
I hope you'd take a peek on my poem compilation 'Soliloquy'. It has a melancholic yet a comforting setting; for anyone who loves poetry.
Anyways, stay awesome guys and keep reading! 😏
Always,
